Well, the temps here in beautiful Downtown Fawn Lodge are predicted to be in the upper seventies and lower eighties all week. I guess summer has finally arrived. Oh... joy. Just as long as we have very few days at or over a hundred, I'll be content. I would be happy if we didn't have anything over ninety this year, but I think that's asking too much.

That does sound like the perfect summer. I want to move there.

LOL, yeah well that's why the Brits make it so hard to get a residency permit or citizenship. There's only so much room there.;) Porter has it a bit better than average too. She has a... I would guess condominium, in a converted Manor House. Have I got that right Porter? Well, Manor House, Converted into Air Base, converted into School... whatever, it sounds like a really nice place! High density housing is common there. Always has been, really. The Brits don't like wasting their farmland like we do here. All the same, there's tons of those old family seats with impoverished (by death taxes) aristocrats who need to face reality and do what they did with Porter's house. Many estates have what they called a Dowager's house, and the Aristo. could hole up there I suppose.;):p

Take the Spencer's (as in Princess Diana's brother's) place. You could easily split it up into twenty or thirty spacious units! There are larger places in the countryside too! I would hate to see any more go the fate of Lowther Castle.

But I'm rambling, likely rather ignorantly too, again. Sorry.:sorry:

You figure out a way Byrne, I'll hitch a ride with ya!^_^

I actually like high density housing. I loved having land in the country where I could raise chickens and such...but I also like condo living. I really don't like the in between...suburban houses with large yards to upkeep, and lots of restrictions on what you can do with your land.

My wife is mad because she moved 1000 miles north when she married me and just got through her first real winter ever.

And now its really hot in the summer and it "feels like Florida again"

I'd venture to guess that if you are anywhere in the midwest, just wait 5 minutes - it'll change, right? Your wife can rest assured.... LOL Yesterday I had the A/C on and today not only is the A/C and ALL the fans off, I am wearing a sweater! Gotta love Iowa...

Yeah I live in Northern Indiana. . . But its been hot for a while.

Inlaws are comming up from FL tomorrow. If its hot while they are here I'm pretty sure they are going to say that the weather here sucks because it gets super cold during the winter but yet gets hot during the summer.

Oh well

Since I've moved into a new home I need to fill the walls. I've been thinking of the following styles of art.

Italien Renn
Harlem Renn
Regionalism
Cubism
Neo-Primitivism.

I've also thrown in James Tissot but am not sure what style he falls under. Can anyone suggest some names?

Sounds like Northern California. Single digits in the winter, triple digits (110) in August. Gotta love it. Thankfully, both extremes are only for a few days a year. All the same, I'll take the cold over the hot.;) Also, we don't often get the humidity you do in Ohio/Indiana. However, that lack of humidity is'nt as great as one might think. The fire hazard that goes with it is what Arizona is enjoying right now, God help them. Our turn will come up in a few weeks. So when the wife and in-laws complain about the humidity, show them a few pictures of Arizona and remind them what lack of humidity produces.;)

Well the cold by itself is fine. But the problem we have is in Northern Indiana we're right by a giant lake which produces a lot of snow that falls on our heads.

If it was just cold with no or very little snow. . . cool

But when there is so much snow that it buries my lawnmower its more then frustrating. I hate snow.

So in general I actually prefer summer to winter because of the lack of snowfall.

I've got one of his prints in my office at work (although I found it at Goodwill).
