Porter, the result of men ingesting progestrone is decreased sexual performance, deformed genitals and effimate behaviour. Not good. Also weight gain in the belly and buttocks combined often with thyroid damage.

Progesterone, not so much. It'll make you gain weight by increasing your appetite - that's what we give cancer patients to help them keep on weight. But that's about it.

Estrogens, yes - most of what you describe is seen in people with liver failure, who have a state of chronically increased estrogens (other than the effeminate behavior, I've never seen that). What we don't have data on is whether the estrogen-like compounds in soy (which are NOT actually estrogen, just have a similar structure) have the same effect.

Have you tried black cohosh? That seems to work for some people.

Yes, but it doesn't make a dent in the heavy stuff and yes, it does get very intense. Motherwort tincture helps, but it has to be mixed and kept close by, so the amped-up vitamins, especially magnesium, E, C and all the B's seem to do the trick along with bioidentical cream.

Hopefully, I'm close to being over the whole mess, but as I'm really guessing, I can only go by how I feel and energy levels. And, NO, I don't want to have our doc see what he can prescribe for me, because my knee is an ever-intensifying mess and I know he wants to set the butchers on me. No offense. ^_^

Ack! Thanks for telling me. I'll make sure no to overdo it.

Right now, my bigger worry is my baby girl (pup). Her upper lips have swollen out of nowhere, but she seems to be breathing fine. I assume she chomped on something outside that she shouldn't have and I have managed to convince her to lay her head on an ice bag.

She looks like she's had way too much botox. Poor baby. :(

What will you be specializing in Mel?
I'm putting together my application for Internal Medicine residencies now (just need to contact a bunch of people for letters of recommendation before I leave for the summer...), and plan on eventually specializing in Endocrinology.

And now for something completely different: A thoroughly Lutheran definition of sanctification.

Until the last day, the Holy Ghost abides with the holy congregation or Christendom, by means of which He fetches us to Christ and which He employs to teach and preach to us the Word, whereby He works and promotes sanctification, causing it [this community] daily to grow and become strong in the faith and its fruits which He produces.

Free beer helps, I suppose.

Yeah, well in the nineteenth century politicians used that to good effect.

Well, I just pulled the bird out of the oven and she's likely the best bird I've ever done! Can't stand it, gotta show off (ain't I pathetic?:p):

As you can see, the popper never came out. However the thermomiter read 190 degrees, so I figured it was time. Tastes as good as she looks! The stuffing is great too! I don't think I'll ever go back to bread stuffing.
