Well, it's 1 degree here and -16 windchill temp. Our school is in session but I haven't gotten called in all week to sub. Ouch. I think I might need to find a new part-time job

wow - i almost feel guilty about the weather we're having.....it's still cold, but it's only 23 degrees right now, with clear blue sky.....everybody stay warm!!

went to bed last night with my heart leaping.....woke up this morning, and i feel like julie andrews spinning around on a mountaintop.....God is so unbelievably good - i thank and praise Him for all my blessings, every single day.....

It's cold here, but the sunshine makes it bearable as does the progress we've been making on the house. Every day above ground and in God's mercy is a blessing.

Snow day!

We have had no plow on our streets and to top it off, they plowed the main road and thus added a whopping pile of snow at the end of ours (which is at the top of a hill).

That was from yesterday. It started snowing about 7am and that photo was from 2:45. It didn't stop snowing until about 8. We have about 5 inches. Now the temp has dropped to like 0 so salting is going to be pointless. The highway I take to work is all snow and ice.

I feel blessed to not have to go out today. It is so cold in Michigan. I think it's a coffee and reading day.

LOL, Cal-Trans (State Highways contractor) does the same thing to our road Aibrean. Just to add insult to injury, they actually dump snow at the intersection to get it off the Highway! Sometimes we can face a six foot wall of packed snow at the intersection. This time of year, I always carry a shovel. Well, that doesn't make a dint in the snow-wall! I have to take a pick to it! When George worked with Cal-Trans, he got it across to whomever that dumping snow on a road was a bad idea. Still, the county never plows our road, so the Heilmans and I have quite a ways to push through snow to get to the Highway sometimes. John gets pretty grumpy about it. I for my part look at it more philosophically. If there's no snow to deal with I have no water in the summer. So, bring on the snow! The more the merrier, I say! So far, it looks like there's going to be a really dry summer here in downtown Fawn Lodge...

Think about this, do you really want to go out when it's -16? Perhaps this is a small blessing in disguise? Though I do realise that it makes things a bit hard on paying the bills...

Yes, well... I guess there's no complaints in that department here. The temp yesterday was sixty and it's supposed to be sixty-one today. I guess the best thing to do is enjoy the nice weather and let this comming summer take care of itself?

this is most certainly true! Pastor Pechman says that each day is another gift of grace from God.

-6 with a windchill of -25. Got down to -13 overnight. Who knows how much snow we have on the ground. We do have quite a snow pile between the house and the church.

Today was the best day I've had in twenty-five years! I got to drive a team of four horses to a 1902 Studebaker MudWagon (open stagecoach)! I haven't driven a four-in-hand since 1984. Life was good this afternoon! My hands were really shaking when Dennis handed me the reins, but it only took a few minutes before it was all back. Hope I can go up and do it again soon!

Yep, I was Studebaker'in and STYL'IN baby! So much fun, just can't stop grinning.

I must say that if the Packers do indeed win today, they will most likely win the Superbowl as well. I just think their offense is better than either Pittsburgh or the Jets.
