We are supposed to get 3-5 inches tomorrow. I'm taking my drives home tonight in case we get snowed in. Our city sometimes does not plow our street at all.
At least my hubby is off tomorrow (he works 4/10's now).

tang - i'm so sorry that your associate pastor and friend is moving....we get so attached - sometimes it's hard to say goodbye....but it sounds like he won't be too awfully far away, and there's always the phone! (((hugs)))
ctay - wow, that IS a lot of snow for where you are....i don't know if WE'VE even gotten that much!! we don't get snow days here though - they figure, we live in snow country - deal with it (LOL)
QA - thank you....yes, i'm unbelievably happy.....happier than i have ANY right to be....honestly, it would take perma-cord to blast the smile off my face at this point...
had to take my son to the ER last night, because he had absolutely hellacious pains in his stomach, and kept throwing up....he's NEVER acted like that before, i wasn't sure if it was gall bladder, appendix, flu, or what....they ran labs, did an exam, etc - decided it was some kind of food poisoning....they gave him something for nausea, and a GI cocktail (which was HILARIOUS).....came home, and ate a jello, a pudding, and drank some gatorade, and slept all night. doctor gave him a note to stay home today, so i can keep an eye on him....i was so scared (and i scared the crud out of a certain someone, as well) - but God was with him - and for that i am thankful....

Wow, food poisoning hits hard. I had it a couple of years ago. I was just about to head to the ER and my daughter called with the same symptoms hitting at the same time. We were at the same event. Found out later that about 14 of us got sick about the same time. He will probably be sore for a couple of days too.

Well, tomorrow's our turn... I'm really hoping for snow. The white stuff is one of the reasons I came back up here. Love the stuff.

because God has blessed me so.....let's just say my heart is unbelievably happy, and that's all i'm really at liberty to say at this point, LOL....
and QA - i have no clue why God would think i deserve this happiness, but any gift from Him, i will gladly accept, and utilize to HIS glory and honor!!

We don't get enough to have the snow plows and stuff to clear the roads so everything shuts down with half an inch. Someone did come by on a tractor and tried clearing our road. Schools and businesses are still shut down tomorrow.

'Course, that wouldn't have anything to do with the eco-nazis and socialists chasing all the business and manufacturing out of the state...

Stude, sorry for your troubles, but sometimes wounds need to be lanced to heal. Prayers for healing for you and all the family during the painful process. Weird weather all over! While I'm certain we'll be getting hammered with more snow as the US storm makes it way here, it's supposed to be 50 here today and in the high 40's for several days, so I am going to take advantage of it and do some cleanup in the garden. I can hardly wait for the tulips and crocus to emerge. I can hardly wait for spring.

I'm snowed in today. They plowed a couple times yesterday but after 2 they did't come back so there is at least 3 inches on the street (maybe more because of drifting snow). Our city schools were like the only ones closed at 5 AM.

I found out where we will be staying in Queensland. Looks like a beautiful place - and I guess it's pretty dry there. I am getting so excited! I went to Barnes and Noble and got several books for the flight. I got hubby the People's Bible of Matthew from NPH.

Sounds like you need a Nook, Seajoy.
I can hardly wait until an eReader more friendly to reference texts is released. Love the Kindle DX, but not enough to get past being able to only see one page at a time. Maybe next year an affordable one will be available.
