Yes...although ears are still a bit plugged.

Got invited to essentially interview for a job (big job and it's at a big company). Gonna see how that pans out. The Creative Director basically asked the HR person specifically for me to talk to him. I've never met the Creative Director.

I'm not. The People's Soviet Republic of California has added yet more expense to building a home. Now it's required to have fire-proof siding to every home and fire sprinklers in the ceilings. Add to that the requirement soon to be added of triple paned windows. As if windows weren't expensive enough, now they want to raise the cost another hundred to two hundred dollars a window. Sacramento is adding to this higher taxes and more restrictions on business. Just what we needed in the worst economy in seventy years...:sigh: Sometimes I think our Government is determined to destroy this country. In fact, they seem to dedicate everything they do to just such a thing...

I've got to stop reading the news, it's so depressing...:purple:

Hubby keeps up with all the news, drives me nuts that he watches it so much, I don't watch it that much
I used to, but with all the stuff in my life right now all the happenings in the world at large seem pretty remote.

My wife is the one who watches; yeah, it drives me crazy as well. I refuse, unless forced at cucumber point to watch.
Ditto on the "drives me nut" with the wife's newcasts and all the newspapers in the house. One thing I now do is tune into FOX news in the morning and see if the world is still there and no one has blown it up.

If I have power for the computer, then I don’t even have to check Fox (or any other) news channel.

At cucumber point Filo?

I use to be a newshound, then we had the elections of 2008. Two years of presidential campaign and all the junk going on around then did me in. Now I look at it online when and how much I want to. Then, I get a day like yesterday where I heard a tidbit on CNN in the airport and had to wait to find out more until I got to my destination to look the story up. It was the one about the shooting in an Omaha area school.

I wasn't sure how my ear would feel after flying in those smaller aircraft, but it is doing well. phew!! Maybe the fluid is drying up.

Well, I am enjoying these "cold" temps here in Texas. They just are not use to it being down around 50 at night.

Seajoy, how are you doing these days?

Hi Matt - doing well, thanks for asking. 2011 is a new year and a new start that God has blessed me with. We are traveling to Australia in February for hubby's job. I am so excited.

How are you?

seajoy - that is so exciting about your trip - australia is one place i've always wanted to go....i'm so happy that you are getting to do something new, fun, and exciting!!

we are finally home from california.....what an ordeal.....it was a good trip, in that, it was great seeing my family again - but the drama that followed us was getting to be a bit much.....God was with us, and i thank and praise Him for guiding us.....and i'm indebted to a beautiful man who, once again, calmed me down and was the voice of reason and caring....

looking forward to a calm, restful weekend, and my first service in two weeks back at my little home church!! can't wait to see everybody and tell them all about our adventures!!

have a blessed friday night and weekend, everybody!!
