When it comes to the end, the bible makes it clear there is no hiding from the wrath of God. People will try to kill themselves and won't be able to. They'll try to run from the face of God and won't be able to. And the world will be destroyed with fire. It couldn't anything. Nuclear blast, asteroid strike, the sun, or supernatural.

It's also really interesting to look at the differences of radiation in the culture of the Japanese and Americans. In Japanese culture, radiation is responsible for monsters. In America, it's causes super heroes. I firmly believe the worst invention of mankind is atomic weapons.

I think if it really happened I wouldn't do anything but scream hysterically lol. We once had a BBQ in Spain and everything just went up in flames. Those guys were picking up things, going through the fire. Only thing I did was scream hahahahaha.

I'm pretty sure I'd have more than 5 minutes in South Dakota, I don't know why they'd drop a bomb anywhere around here...

1) You have time to make one call. Who is it to? Charlotte, I'd tell her to get to the shelter.
2) You have time to grab one food and beverage from the fridge, what is it? (something that's in there right now) Some canned meat and bottled water
3) You have time to set your DVR to record one show: Game of Thrones
4) You have time to grab one book off the shelf (you already have a bible in the shelter): My Harry Potter boxed set. (it's technically one thing).
5) You have time to message one Facebook/CF friend, who is it: My old college roommate
6) You have time to grab your favorite piece of jewelry/heirloom: My handmade dreamcatcher
7) In case you don't make it, you have one chance to record a message to the world. What is it? There's nobody here, come to South Dakota.
8) You only have time to grab one piece of clothing to wear for the next however long you're stuck in the shelter: My favorite shirt.
9) You get to take one picture with you, what is it? My favorite picture of Charlie and I
10) You have two minutes left, how do you spend it? Gathering more last minute supplies

I believe the entire Bible is inspired of God. But I also know that most of the Bible wasn't actually written down until the Babylonian captivity.

Wait... So then you believe it was all oral tradition until the Babylonian captivity?

In all fairness, the Old Testament does contain many elements of oral literature. They're better seen in the Hebrew (as you know since, as I remember, you have a degree in theology), but to say that most of it was written for the first time in Babylon is unreasonable. It also ignores references to finding the book of the law and several other books which have since been lost. Editing during the Exile is very likely; major composition is unlikely.

I know this is off-topic, and I'm not sorry! Old Testament literary studies is one of my favourite subjects. But with consideration for the competition of @Saucy and @Miss Spaulding, I'll make this my last.

If God actually wrote the Ten commandments down on stone with His finger then why wouldnt the israelites have copied it down into books or scrolls or whatever they had those days. Codexes. Its not like they were illiterate and didnt have written language.

I meant it when I said I was a survivalist/prepper. Although, I really don't like the word prepper. Reminds me too much of my teen years and "preppies".

Why are you not at Survivalistboards.com instead of here. These guys are not survivalist they are normal. Did Robert send you here? Let him know I am not some prepper nut job, I am normal.

Now lets get down to being normal. Are your friends M1's Garand's or Carbines? I use an Israel gas mask with 40mm NBC filters, what do you use? I am looking for some good priced M40's that are new production, know of any at a good price? Does your IFAK have a chest decompression needle?

I am not a prepper but I am somebody who will bug out and never come back and produce a new place where ever I go. I may even cross the Bering Strait and settle in the vast wilderness of western Russia.

Do you think a Plum campers axe is as good of chopper as a good Gransfors Burks Scandinavian Forest Axe?

I seen somebody talking about duck and cover. I have studied it and used it since 1st grade when we are taught it in Wichita. We lived close to a bunch of missile silos and we were taught how the best way to survive was. Nothing beats a good duck and cover.

Stop drop and roll was another good one.

I was on an end of the world site once and I joked that I was digging a hole in the ground. The guy reacted very serious on how I should do that and everything I should buy to stay alive.
