I am very shocked by what you have said and I have to admit you are a lot more charitable, by a long shot, to these paedophile priests and the network that's supporting them than I would be. I'd lock them up and take away the keys of heaven from their grubby little hands!

Don't get me wrong. I am in no way excusing them personally for such terrible sin, nor for the system which permitted it to go on for centuries. I am, however, advocating for a systemic change that, hopefully, would have a better outcome.

Because of Christ's own example, because of the New Testament's testimony, and because of the practice of the early church. The Bible teaches us that there are many different roles in Christ's church but all of them work together for the success of the Church's mission, just like the parts of the human body.

None of that, however, answers a question about eligibility for the priesthood. Women have indeed been witnesses, missionaries, disciples, teachers, and church leaders. The issue here is something else.
