The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Beginning work early was a great start and it probably gave you more time in your day. I know what you mean about being 'fine once you get started' it happens to me all the time. Maybe you can reward yourself for doing the cleaning and working out by using your computer only after you've achieved those goals?trinitygrace said:Today I sort of slacked. I still feel good that I got to work at a decent hour and got off early in the evevning to relax, instead of waiting until the last minute and working all evening. I did make a point to eat healthy today. However, I didn't work out. I stayed on the computer a little bit too long and browsed on here while replying to all my e-mails. Tomorrow will be better. I'll force myself to stay off of here and stay active and work out and get some house cleaning done. Please pray for motivation so I can get these things done!! Once I start, I'm fine and I love to clean and workout. It's just getting started!! Pray for my "kick-in-the-butt"!!
Yeah that's very true and makes perfect sense. I do need to start delay gratification and rewarding myself on the computer ONLY after I get done the things I keep putting off like cleaning and homework. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I just need to DO it!! God Bless you Snowy!snowy27 said:Beginning work early was a great start and it probably gave you more time in your day. I'm so happy that you got up early even though you lost sleep from all the storms and tornado warnings!! Thank God I don't live in a place where there are tornadoes! I live in the Appalacian Mountains! Anways, good for you for keeping up with your day and not staying in bed. You should be very proud of yourself that you're keeping up with everything. I'll continue to pray for you.maycontainnuts said:Yesterday, I worked out and practiced driving again again. This morning, so far, I've gotten up early, made coffee and breakfast, and gotten started on some homework. I consider that a pretty big accomplishment because last night storms kept waking me up and then there were like 4 tornado warnings so it was difficult to sleep! If this had happened a little over a year ago, I would still be in bed.![]()
