You know, that took me a long time to get. I was wondering why there was a woman affiliated with Promise Keepers. :D (Well, there could be women affiliated with it, but I don't know if that's common or anything.)

Oh by the way, hi, I'm lel. I'm just stepping in the freezer because I wanted to get really cold this winter. :p

Heh. In a lot of online games, "PK" is short for "player-killer", meaning, "person who attacks the other players in an online game". I suppose that's why people keep attacking you!

I used it to mean 'preacher's kid'.

LOL, yeah. Do not ever log into an online RPG and tell people you're a "PK." That is a very good way to play alone and to have your character preemptively attacked. . . :p hehehe

Oh, good. Just when the homosexuality threads were dying down, we got a newbie who, never having looked into this before, is *QUITE* sure he will momentarily come up with dozens upon dozens of citations about how even *thinking* about other guys is totally unforgivable.

I am preemptively thanking God for reminding me why I bother; I know He'll get around to it shortly.

Yeah, now all we need is that song about pies from the movie "Michael" to really get people's mouths to water.  Way to go guys, and only days away from when my new years resolution is to go into effect of cutting down on the sweets.  I think I'll just go on an icecream binge and slip into a sugar coma for the next week. ;)

Well, I sort of can. Two words: Tentacle porn.

And yes, it really is as bad as it sounds.

I'm familiar with anime but hadn't seen that sort.  I had seen such in Church of the SubGenius stuff concerning sexual encounters between the Xists (Extraterrestrials) and their human allies the SubGenii.

Seebs, are you a conisseur of comics?  I would highly recommend Roberta Gregory's "B*tchy B*tch", a slice of life type comic concerning her thinly disguised alter ego.  One of her coworkers is a fundie who talks with the most horrible Southern accent.

I will read almost anything once; next time I'm at the comic store, I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip! I love weird comics.

Speaking of thinly disguised alter egos, there is a *WONDERFUL* book titled _The Papers of Samuel Marchbanks_, written by Robertson Davies.

"Undertook to bathe a small child and put it to bed, in the absence of its mother; this is not a fitting pursuit for a man whose temperament is philosophical and whose habits are sedentary. Several times I underestimated the elusiveness of a small creature covered from head to foot in soapsuds, and almost fell into the tub myself. The child took this for frolicsomeness on my part, and began to throw water on me; I toyed with the idea of stripping, in order to meet this situation on fair terms, but rejected the plan as undignified. When at last I had landed my fish and begun to dry it, the unforeseen problem of ticklishness obtruded itself, and then hair-brushing created a great hullabaloo. When at last it was in bed, and had had all the drinks of water and Kleenex it demanded, I was a nervous and physical wreck."

I love that book.

Please remind me to never post another military thread. :sigh:

I can get pretty upset and passionate about corruption in government and military, and sometimes I let things get away from me. I try not to, but it's difficult. I'm not a disrespectful man, but I let my emotions get the better of me sometimes... *sigh*

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I'm sorry if I've offended anybody. I don't start out like that, but it starts to degenerate if I don't give myself a breather. I have strong convictions about certain things, and sometimes I say things the wrong way, at the wrong time. I'll try not to do that anymore.
