Okay, spaghetti recipe time!
Peter's Weird Garlic Pasta
Serves one if he wants to get a spare tire, two if Jesse is hungry.
Ingredients:
Olive oil
Garlic
Cayenne pepper
Black pepper
Salt
"Italian Seasoning"
Spaghetti
Parmesan cheese
Put about 1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil in a small frying pan. Add about 3oz minced garlic, 1/2tsp salt, 1tsp of italian seasoning, and as much black and cayenne pepper as you can stand. Stir together, but don't heat. ("italian seasoning" is the green generic mixed herbs almost all stores sell.)
Boil water. When water is boiling, add spaghetti; at this point, turn on medium heat under the olive oil mix. Stir regularly, and when it starts bubbling, turn it to low heat, so it's just barely simmering. When the spaghetti is cooked, turn off the heat on the olive oil.
Drain spaghetti.
Add olive oil to spaghetti.
Add parmesan cheese - I like to have a *lot* of cheese, but you can get away with just a bit.
The result is a strong, spicy, flavor. Cooking the garlic takes away the "sharp edge" that many people dislike. It does not detract from the wonderful aroma.
For best results, consume only when you have something with milk in it (I use frappucino) to cut the heat to a bearable dull roar.
I think that's roughly correct. I suspect it could be done with less garlic, but the garlic really helps.
