I just discovered this thread. And have read most of the first pages.
Congratulations to those of you who've had good changes. And
I'm really sorry, things are bound to look up, keep the faith for you that have mentioned trials.
Let's see, me...
My grandmother died on Easter. She was my christian mentor and I was very close to her.
My mother, half sister and her two kids showed up uninvited on my door step...and stayed for 8 weeks in July! (and they were a night mare)
My half sister decided to move here.
My husbands business is struggling financially.
They just raised our house payment $300 a month for next year unless we can pay them $1,400 for the escrow shortage...which of course we can't.
Our son got his braces off.
our two other children need them. Haven's (13 on NYE) getting them in January. Lauren (8) will have to wait, even though our dentist is imfatic that she get them immediately. (yeah, rich people don't get that people like us who aren't rich, can't do things this expensive "inmediately")
My husband had about $5,000 worth of dental surgery (not covered by the insurance)....and he's not done!
I've been having chest pains, but haven't had a heart attack or died. (We can't afford health insurance, so I can't go see a doctor anyway. )
My kids are doing really good in school. Lauren and Haven are on the honor roll, and Jordan is struggling, but not doing too badly.
Lauren is learning the viola and Haven plays the violin, they both play for the P. Community Youth Orchestra.
Jordan and Haven ran Cross Country this year. Jordan got a trophy. And Haven ran varsity, even thogh she is a 7th grader.
Jordan went to his first semi formal dance with a girl. (he's not allowed to actually start dating until he's 16)
I joined a Joyce Meyer book club through my church and have finally made a couple of friends here. (3 years is a really long time to be on the outside, looking in.)
God bless you one and all. Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
