Rogue One was pure perfection. I loved every single minute of that film. It is more serious in tone and is s huge departure from the schlock of the prequels, cheesy attempts at humor, and cliches. It is dignified, serious, action-packed, tasteful, and fun. I’d be shocked if you didn’t like it. I had a funny feeling that movie was going to be solid a year before it came out.

Haven’t seen Solo yet. Not so sure about it...

yes, I will agree here. Rogue One was the first time I walked out of a Star Wars movie with a smile.

By the way, random and off topic (did we ever have one? ^_^) but today I walked out into the teacher parking lot after a super long day and having a fancy Mexican lunch catered for my kids only to find some kid took a massive piece of Costco chocolate cake and smeared it all over my windshield....took forever to get that mess off my brand new car. One more day....ugh....one more day to go....:sigh:

So I hope today is more like

As for me, I guess yesterday was my last day. I'd hoped to get in today. I set my alarm for 5am to get up and start refreshing to check for a job - gave up at almost 7. Went back to sleep soon after - was shocked to see it was after 2pm when I woke up! This week took a lot out of me. Thankfully we have two months to recover ... :)

I hope you are now having a fantastic day. :)

I’m taking it you were too young to have seen the originals in the theater??? I saw A New Hope 4 times between 1977 and 1978 at the theater! I saw Empire 3 times in 1981. Saw ROTJ on opening night 1983; I was 8. I still have the commemorative opening night theater program! I saw ROTJ 4 times that year total. Smiles were on my face on all counts!!

Honestly, I was so starved for SW, and I had read the novel, that in 1999, my wife and I married and Phantom Menace was the first movie we ever saw together at the theater. We went back 2 more times. Clone Wars made me sigh and walk out bummed. Revenge of the Sith thoroughly impressed me. I had an ear to ear smile like the Joker on that. Then I saw Force Awakens and contemplated suicide or a walk-out. I was appalled and disgusted. I was offended. I felt insulted by that steaming, rotting, oozing, raw pile of cinematic diarrhea. I left irate! I promised no more post Episode VI SW....ever! Then Rogue One intrigued me a year before the release. Loved every second of it! Then Last Jedi came out. For the first time in my life, I boycotted a SW film. Well, kind of....since I don’t see that drivel as SW.

I might go check out Solo. The fact that it’s getting mediocre grades might mean it’s good since The American public hasn’t a clue what SW is these days.

yes, I was a year old when ROTJ came out. so I have been thoroughly bummed every time aside from Rogue One. The Last Jedi was just meh for me. but nothing got my blood boiling more than ROTS. it was the worst of the prequels in my opinion.

They’d be crazy to follow us, wouldn’t they?

not yet, one thing remains. Vader...you must confront Vader. then, only then, a Jedi will you be. and confront him you will.

For me, attack of the clones was by far the worst!

Jar Jar Binks an acting senator!?
The Anakin “I hate sand” lines (epic b-a-d!)
CGI battles that resembled PlayStation
Natalie Portman’s WORST acting ever
The idiotic bounty hunter chase (Anakin jumping off the speeder:sigh:)
The stupid diner scene between ObiWan and the huge toad guy
The lame Geonosis gladiator insects
Christopher Lee, a legend, delivering corny dialogue
Anakin’s cheesy love lines
Yoga turned CGI
Boring saber fight
Lame clone army origin story that is parsecs beyond infeasible
Bland soundtrack
More Padme decoy cheese
Unsatisfactory Shmee Skywalker ending
Awful dialogue

You’re going to die here, you know. Convenient.

not yet, one thing remains. Vader...you must confront Vader. then, only then, a Jedi will you be. and confront him you will.

I saw Ep1 and 3 at the theater several times. Ep2 is the only one I’ve seen once in the theater....awful.

Have you heard how many SW fans are furious about the far left SJW nonsense from Disney and so they’re boycotting Solo? Kathleen Kennedy is out of control. Kasdan Jr. and Kennedy want gay characters, feminism, you name it. Star Wars is dead as a door nail.....it should’ve ended with ROTJ and then they just do some stuff like Rogue One or other adventures outside the Skywalker family drama!
