Well. I had a few minutes so I watched it.

There are two ways of looking at many of those points. And they are somewhat ambiguously said so it even more allows different interpretations.

I can try to take St. Paisios' advice and see the good in it. God is active in the world, the Scriptures are important, Jesus is our example, how we actually live is more important for our salvation than what we say we believe.

Or I can take the other way of more critical evaluation and be horrified at the thought that "God's Essence is in everyone", they listen for internal voices and accept them as God's continuing revelation (or consider spiritual truth "from any source") yet without either Scripture or Church as a means to discern truth - that's incredibly dangerous. And I find it odd that they eschew any kind of liturgical or outward worship in community, yet gather together for stillness, which ought to be done alone in secret.

I can only hope that God who surely wants all men to be saved will give them the protection and/or guidance necessary for their salvation, whether they continue their current practice and belief or not. I know He has done for me and countless others.

JOHN 1:1
By Lambrini

Does anybody remember British actor Dudley Moore? He played in the original movie "Bedazzled" (the original one, with comedy partner Peter Cook). If you remember, in "Bedazzled," Dudley Moore had sold his soul to the devil in exchange for seven wishes. And one day after doing this he is sitting on the ground, with a Bible in his hand, and he opens the Bible at random. He happens to open it to John 1:1.

John 1.1, as you know, reads "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And Dudley Moore is puzzled at this, and muses, "You mean there was a word? 'Anging about in, SPACE?" (hanging about in space).

Hahaha,

Lambrini

Here’s a shocker. You know the girl’s name Tiffany? Well, get this: Tiffany is actually a Greek name. It derives from the Greek holy day Theophania, or in English, Theophany (January 6). And I thought Tiffany was a jeweler!

Uh-oh!!! Somebody doesn’t realize Βάκχος is a Greek name for the god also!! He was called Βάκχος by some Greeks because he was the god of epiphanies, visions, and ecstatic experiences! He would send the communicants into a Βακχεία, or ecstasy...The Romans just stole the name! Dionysus Διόνυσος is merely the name of his relationship to Zeus that’s indicative of the “Dios” part of the word.

pfffft, I scoff at your Bacchus. take that Roman rip off nonsense away!

uh oh!! somebody didn't realize we were talking about different names for the same saint! which means when that someone said I should have said Bacchus when I said Dionysius, the clear relation was the pagan god of wine, and not a distinct Greek god. uh oh!

Wait....what?!

just a dry, over-the-top way of saying the history of the name Bacchus didn't have much to do with my point.

however, I will say I didn't know that Bacchus was actually a Greek god, so that was a neat nugget to learn.
