Revenge porn would be something released by a former sexual partner.

There are a bunch of files related to Hunter Biden. Email, photos etc. Whether they came from Hunter's personal laptop is not known. The FBI might have the laptop, but this is unknown.

The blind computer fixit shop guy made copies of the files and distributed them to Guliani and Bannon, and they distributed them to various media outlets. I don't know why the FBI wouldn't have charged this guy for distributing sensitive information like this, especially while they are doing an investigation.

No. What I said was that Biden was not the White House while President Donald was; therefore saying that the White House made Twitter take down the laptop stuff before the election as you contend is simply,factually wrong.

The former people claiming it was likely Russian disinformation, didn't have access to the laptop or files and didn't have access to the information that the FBI and other intelligence agencies had. They were probably out of the loop and were just speculating on what was doing the rounds in the media at the time.

The social media companies made their own choices to suppress this information. It doesn't seem that they were coerced nor pressured by government agencies or the like.

To my mind, it was very close to the election, the details seemed very dodgy and the social media companies made a judgement call.

To my mind, there are many media outlets that don't rush to publish just anything. Many of them try to verify information and scandals etc before publishing. It's called having journalistic integrity. And at times they need to make judgement calls.

The Hunter Biden laptop story has been a very weird and hard to believe one. This isn't to say that it is not true. But certainly it is very weird.
A guy connected to the would be president and having scandalous information on his laptop, drops it off to a random computer fixit store and never collects it. The computer store had a blind person that never saw Hunter, and then made copies and gave them to Gulianin and Bannon of all people. It really is weird.

Because you keep talking about the laptop rather than the files. I'm just trying to distinguish facts from non facts. Keeping things factual helps us come to a reasonable understanding of the situation rather than leaping to conclusions.

I'd accept seeing an official letter with official govt letterhead, with a signature from some high up in govt and addressed to one of these social media platforms. Telling them to remove articles about Hunter Biden.

That would be one thing, it would establish the govt made an official request.

Also I'd accept if the letter expressed consequences of non compliance, e.g If yo don't comply then legal action will be taken etc...

In lieu of a physical letter, an email will be sufficient as well. Do govt emails include stuff that indicates the email is sent in an official govt capacity? Something with FBI emblem if such to show it is official. But it must specifically say what it wants to be removed. e.g. Hunter Biden laptop messages.And must be signed in official capacity by a current govt employee.

Some people would rather just play dumb and pretend to assume that when our government tries to cover up something, they do it openly. If it can't be shown that it was done openly, then it's just a "conspiracy theory" to bring attention to it.

I'm trying to work out what your claim is. It's hard to understand because you guys aren't being clear about what has happened, what evidence supports the claim of what has happened and why it is wrong.

I would never have thought the government would say remove this information otherwise we are going to do a tax audit. These are two incredibly unrelated things.
Perhaps they might say - otherwise we will look to introduce regulation. This would actually be a valid thing. I have seen this in industries where there is a monopoly or duopoly and government first tries to work with the companies to get them playing fair to the public and if that fails then as a last resort the government seeks to introduce regulation.

But anyhow, some people in this thread have been making a claim, and I just want to be clear on what that claim is, and what evidence there is in support of it.

So far people making the claim have failed on both these items. It just seems like conspiracy nonsense at the moment.


With the Comey, Mcabe thing, at least we know these people were put on an invasive tax audit.
But here, you are perhaps suggesting that Social Media companies have been threatened by govt with the threat of a tax audit. But you are unable to show any communications to support it, unable to show any goverment people making any demands of these social media companies, and of course there has not been any disclosed information about any tax audits or request of tax audits.

At the moment it just seems to be paranoia and pure fantasy. And this is being spread across the internet and this forum here by people who have absolutely no supporting evidence.

What exactly will we know? That there are salacious photos? We knew that. That HB was an addict? We knew that. That HB made money off his family name? We knew that. If there were genuinely a smoking gun, I'm sure Giuliani would have publicized that to the hilt as he had full access and isn't shy, so all we are left with is speculation and innuendo.
