God has set apart the seventh day and called it holy even before sin was in the world. It's a day that points to Him as Creator and those who remember that day are given allegiance to Him as the one true God.
Gathering on Sunday, the first day, and doing all the things that honor God on Sunday are meant for the day that God has blessed and set apart, which is Saturday, the seventh day.
When we honor the seventh day, as the fourth commandment commands, we are honoring the one true God and freeing Him up to bless us.
Isaiah 58:13-14 "If because of the Sabbath, you turn your foot , From doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the
Lord honorable, And shall honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure, And speaking your own word, Then you will take delight in the Lord, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."
Nowhere in Scripture do we find Jesus changing the day that His Father blessed and set apart to be holy. What we do find is Jesus removing all the strict rules regarding what could be done on the Sabbath day. What we see in Jesus' teachings, regarding the Sabbath day, is Him putting it in the right perspective in relation to life. He said it was okay to do good on the Sabbath. He said it was okay to save and care for life on the Sabbath day such as plucking corn if you were hungry or saving an animal that fell in a pit or healing a person. Basically what Jesus taught, regarding the Sabbath, was that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Understanding this, we know that there are things we can do on the Sabbath that do not dishonor the Sabbath or defile it. Jesus also said He was Lord of the Sabbath. These are not words that do away with the Sabbath, but rather, they confirm the Sabbath.
When we remember to keep the Sabbath holy we are bearing witness to the entire lost world as to which God we follow and obey.
Exodus 31:13 "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, `You shall surely observe My Sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout
your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
God has protected His day by blessing it and setting it apart. All the other religions of the world who follow another God set apart Friday, the sixth day or Sunday, the first day but God has set apart Saturday the seventh day for His people.
The Bible gives no authority to change the holy day of God. This change from Saturday to Sunday did not come about by any command of God or Jesus, but rather, it came about by Emperor Constantine and Papal Rome long after Jesus and the Apostles.
There is no reason to honor Sunday other than to follow after pagan and Papal Rome.
Papal Rome, the Vatican City, is called the little horn and fourth beast kingdom in the book of Daniel. The head of this kingdom, the Pope, was to speak pompous
words against the Most High God. This kingdom was to persecute the saints and think to change God's law and God's time.
Daniel 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the
saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.
There is so much I can show you from the Scriptures that identify pagan Rome and Papal Rome as the beast in Daniel and Revelation if you would be interested.
Revelation tells us that the whole world is going to wonder after the beast. I can't help to think that the trinity doctrine, changing the day of worship from the seventh day to the first day, the state of the dead and all the rest of main line beliefs has something to do with the whole world wondering after the beast. The reason for this is because Papal Rome has set in motion all these beliefs and have murdered millions of Bible believing people for their rejection of these doctrines thus fulfilling Daniel in changing law and time and persecuting the saints.
Papal Rome has spoken pompous words against the Most High God in it's claim that the Pope is God on earth and how he even has the power to excommunicate angles out of heaven, just to name a few.
Papal Rome did change God's law and God's time. When it took out the second commandment, which has to do with statue worship and when it changed the seventh
day that was blessed and set apart by God and made it Sunday.
Take a look at Papal Rome's version of the Ten Commandments. You will notice that the second commandment has been taken out of the ten so now the fourth commandment becomes the third commandment. This would now leave only nine commandments so they split the tenth commandment and made two out of it so there would still be Ten Commandments. This is a perfect fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy of the beast changing God's law.

Many of the teachings of Papal Rome came from pagan Rome, which were filtered down from Babylon. The whole foundation of Papal Rome with it's beliefs and practices have their roots in Babylon. Everything from sun worship, which influenced Sunday worship, the trinity, state of the dead, Easter and so on. This is why God is calling His people to come out of Babylon.
Papal Rome celebrates Easter as the resurrection of Jesus but this is false. Easter has to do with the god of fertility and the sun and has nothing to do with Jesus' resurrection. We can know this because Easter itself does not fall on the same day every year because it's not based on Jesus' resurrection, but rather, the sun. This is taken right from Babylon.

We are in a spiritual battle. The one true God desires to be worshipped and loved. He is seeking for a people that He can call His own. A people who will obey Him as Creator and love Him as Father. But there is another who desires to be worshipped as God.

Satan has a whole system of worship that is drawing God's people away from Himself. We know this because it is Satan who is the power behind the beast kingdom.
Revelation 13:2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
Let us honor God and worship Him and Him only.
