The bible says globalisation will happen. The best form of it started at Pentecost and will complete at the Second Coming. The worse will culminate in the reign of the Anti-Christ. Nationalistic resistance is already prophesied to be futile to these processes both for good and evil. God's church is bigger than the USA and so is Satan's slave army. The choice is not to stand against the tide of history it is whether we stand for the Light or darkness as history unfolds.
I agree. It is here. Sit back and enjoy the show as they carry you off for not playing the game. As i say, long live the counter culture of the Kingdom.

It seems the hard truth you need to hear is that God is not going anywhere.

The demographic data for the US is similar to other industrialized nations, on a downward trend in terms of belief in God.

If Christians want their beliefs to be credible they need to demonstrate it in their lives.

You know, I never gave that "kingdom of god" talk in church much thought. I suspect it was because as a resident of a (proud) republic there was no reference frame. It all sounded quaint and backward. Probably just some references Jesus used because people back then lived with kings, but we didn't, that's how it felt.
That's pretty unfortunate, since it appears that Jesus thought his major purpose was to establish the Kingdom. One alternate translation would be the reign of God, though that still has monarchical overtones. I agree that today it might be expressed differently. But the idea of a community that lives the way God wants, and tries to spread God's love to the whole world doesn't seem dated. In churches that emphasize Jesus' message, I think that understanding is made clear.

Isolationism doesn't stop globalization. It just keeps us from participating in determining the form it will take. Trump hasn't stopped many of the bad impacts of globalization. But he's kept us from working with other nations that are also concerned about things like domination by China. If we don't hang together, we're going to hang separately.

That's why it is man who puts in whomever suits their self serving desires and God simply uses any of them for His own ways. Eliminates the hypocrisy.
Or ... "man" can put in whomever suits their chosen political desires and let's that person govern as "man" sees fit ... and "god" can keep "it's" nose out of our business.

You mean like the polls that spoke about a Democratic landslide? Globally God has never been more popular! But even if he were not popular he would still have the right to stand in the middle of the public square and simply proclaim supremacy, not that that is usually his style.

I voted against BREXIT but this and the America First philosophy were a kind of isolationism acting in denial of global trends. I am hoping that the British can rectify their mistake somewhat by joining the North American trading zone and then use that weight to gain concessions in trade with the EU.

The EU and US together have an economic weight that even China is unlikely to surpass and a network of bases and friends that give it a global economic and military weight. Maybe Biden can use the British and the Good Friday agreement as a way of leveraging a trade agreement between the North Americans and EU which will facilitate trade and build links between these two blocks.

Trump did hold the Chinese to account and his brinkmanship had some effect in my view but in the long run only cementing the EU - US alliance will secure a democratic rather than totalitarian version of global stability. Trump helped to undermine this alliance whereas I am hopeful Biden has a greater appreciation of its worth.

I suppose that the war on Christmas will be back in full force.

Reporting for duty!

Men-

Previously we have been maintaining a line of defense from the forces of Christmas at the Thanksgiving frontier. Our policy of containment has been working despite the fall of December to Santa's Empire. But in recent years the xmas-ian forces have overwhelmed our Cranberry perimeter and occasional enemy skirmishers have been met at the Pumpkin line of the Halloween border that marks the inner regions of our territory. But not all is lost. A mighty pestilence has struck and our enemies have withdrawn most of their forces to behind the old Frontier. If we make a concerted push, our advance can push Christmas back into it's traditional territory of a couple weeks in December. Then, in our magnanimity we will offer them peace with their territory just past a new border of major conference college football championship games.

It begins when the rules say so. Everyone wants to jump the gun even if the outcome already suits their desires. The global World Economic Forum cry of Build Back Better used by all members can't wait to get their program of state/corporate union back on track. Someday people may regret abandoning the evil they can see for a future one they have yet to comprehend.

200 years of tradition don't get thrown out the window because half the population is having a hissy fit.

Yes, God gave us judges and kings and yes, the people eventually went astray after generations cause of their own ways. What we got now is a total satanic one world government.

It's how all of the countries can cordinate on the "ebola" scam they had a few years ago, the coronavirus scam, and other scams....the teLIEvision and media, it is the mind control device.

heh it's more about how for four years it was, "God decides who is our ruler so we should always follow them no matter what." now it's not trump it's back to, "we no longer must follow the leader no matter what." the sheer hypocrisy is so hilarious, no morals, no strong beliefs, just what ever makes you win and other side lose.

Actually he produced a stumbling block and a four year delay in a plan to officially assimilate the US into the global movement (the corporate entities are already onboard), which btw countries like China, Canada, New Zealand, European and African, Mideastern countries to name a few, have already been assimilated into. The domination is not by any country, a concept the US is used to, but domination by a collective state/corporate interest that is already well established although the US has been to busy squabbling amongst themselves too take noticed.

That is like peeing against the wind. Arrogant but foolish.

"god" takes days off?

Not very omniscient or omnipotent of "it".
God has stood by with very little direct influence other than to say over and over, chose whose will is better, mine or yours, ever since the Garden when He tossed us out into the world to reap the consequences of our self serving actions.

Perhaps after the cancellation is lifted... if it is. It may return as an online shopping event a couple of times a year to keep the curve flattened for demand of useless junk.

I thought the old Commonwealth nations were banding together in a new economic union (not including the US who will be busy kissing up to China again). Britain and Canada made a deal this last week.

Covid has shown what was known for a while now, we aren't just a bunch of countries, but one large world. And we need to work together to get through crises and problem, and not always act as if only we exist.

The US was never a Commonwealth nation. You should know that.

I don't know why anyone even worries about any of this stuff. The "toddler" is likely just as much a part "the cabal" or whatever as anyone else. What will happen will happen. There is nothing anyone can do to limit or put a stop to or hurry along (or whatever it is people think they want to do) God's plans.

What we *can* do is live our lives as responsibly as we can, and vote for people who we believe are going to practice responsible leadership. If they turn out to be part of some big conspiracy, then it's nothing in our control and we need not be concerned with it. Spiritually, we just need to trust that God knows what he is doing and will take care of things in his timing.

There is no need for us to be disturbed by any of these global conspiracies or participate in them in any way.
