Woe unto the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea , for the devil is come down to you having great wrath for he knows that his time is short . ( Revelation 12:12 )

And unless those days be shortened , shall no flesh be saved but for the elect's sake , those days will be shortened . ( Matthew 24:22 )

Just as the cancer sees the doctor coming to restore the body knows it must hurry . At what point should a physician operate or amputate to save the body ?

And Satan said to Eve " Surely you will not die " God knows that if you eat of the fruit you will become like Him knowing both good and evil . "

Then satan answered the Lord " Does Job fear God for no reason "

Satan is called the accuser ....he accuses God , accuses the brethren ....much like the older brother who is angry and accuses his father of throwing the party for his brother , the prodigal .

Satan is a "misery loves company kind of guy . " Compare with Jesus Christ.

What about others?

Those who are lost who the god of this world has blinded the hearts and their minds . Not able to see . Not able to care . Snared by the devil and taken captive at his will . Haters of God and lovers of death . Children of wrath and self . As Paul says " And such were some of you " .
There are lost sheep to be found . And there are unconverted humans who need to know God through Jesus Christ . Look around you . Be children when it comes to evil but be men when it come to understanding .

But you and I are not God and we do not exist outside of time. We do not know when we will kneel before Him and give an account for our lives. We do not know what atrocities will be committed against one another . Many are living in La-La land . They are like Nero giving oratory while Romes burns . No , I do not expect this to continue before it is replaced

I'm not sure I see what people are lost to, besides wisdom.

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom . He who wins souls is wise . In looking at Jesus message to the church of Laodicea , they need eye-salve . Blind , naked and poor . They need eye-salve . The thing about deception is that it contains it's own anesthesia .

A lack of wisdom is from immaturity . Look at people's avatar's on this forum . Find me humility .
