I wanted to encourage you if you didEither way, what does it matter. Does the sun being the center of the universe save lives? Does it help me get a job? Would it help prevent cancer?
Its the least of my worries.
God Bless
No, The Scriptures say the earth is fixed in place, does not rotate, tilt, spin, revolve....Umm, to observe something is to WATCH it with your eyes.
It has been observed. Every person who has been in space has seen the earth rotating. For your reference, here is a list of every person who has been high enough in space to see the earth rotate:

Nice, is that said in first Opinions 3:15?No, The Scriptures say the earth is fixed in place, does not rotate, tilt, spin, revolve....
The Earth rotating from space? - YouTube
Sorry I cannot see that. Maybe I should just edit the holy Scriptures. How is this? The heavens were stretched out from this very earth, between the divided in two waters of this earth's creation....
Sorry you cannot see that. It is really plain.
I wanted to encourage you if you did
I do not think you have read Tesla's work, as I have [not all, but enough], for you err...
The electric power is in the earth, in the air, in everything that is....
Tesla understood how to harness it, and he did.
So did the ancients -even Noah built a "shining like the noon sun light" in the Ark, to light it without a power source other than getting the power out of the atmosphere. The word "toshar" is translated "window" in the English, in Genesis 6:16, but it was not a "window" and was a bright shining refractor of light it gathered from the air...apparently -as the Egyptians and other ancient peoples also did for many years after the flood...til dark ages set them back....
sculleuywr, I have to disagree with all your posts. I know how big God is, heliocentric or geocentric. I don't see how this would effect that. Also, how could you disagree with the scriptures? Just because people have watched the earth spin does IN NO WAY overrule the scriptures.
I deny it as a "Bible fact" simply because the Bible wasn't about teaching celestial mechanics. The Bible says "the sun rose" just as we so. The Bible says "in the sun" just as we do. To try and make that authoritative on a subject about which the Scripture is not referring at all is simply goofy. It is a very basic doctrine of the Word of God, repeated so many times in so many ways that it is really a bold and brazen thing to deny it as Bible fact.
In other words, in layman's terms based on a geocentric perspective. Surprise surprise. The creation does not teach a "solar system", but stretched out heavens under the half of the waters of this globe which were raised above them when they were stretched out, from this globe/earth.
Bible says no such thing. That's simply your surmise. And there lies the rub - you equate your own surmises with what the Scripture actually says. No worky. The light began right here on this globe
Thus saith YSM.The stars that fall to earth in the tribulation fall right back here to this earth from where they had their origin, in the beginning.
Or by the fact that it bloody well isn't there, which in fact it is not. Who's doing violence to the truth now, huh?By your blindness or else your willful ignorance...only you know for sure
Being an Electrical Engineer, I suspect it would be more profitable for you to attempt teaching your grandmother how to, shall we say, eat eggs, than to school me on the nature of electricity. The ancients knew little or nothing about "electric power", and it is mentioned not at all in Scripture except in the context of lightning, of whose nature they were entirely ignorant. One can get electric power from the heavens, and from the earth, and even from their own body -the ancients did; but I digress. In modern times, Tesla did.
Ever hear of Tesla or read about his getting electric power from the earth and from the air/heaven?
Sculley, the more I read this thread, the more I realize we don't have to refute the topic because it's so utterly absurd that it essentially defeats itself. I mean, anyone with a fifth grade education will realize that the whole premise is a few tacos short of a combination plate.
We should just let this thread die or the mods close it - since it's absolutely contrary to orthodoxy and thus GT's bylaws.

The Word of God declares that the earth is the center of the creation, and the heavens and earth are of a piece, and the heavens were stretched out from the earth on day 2 of creation week, between the divided in two waters of creation.
The early Church "Fathers" completely agree with the Word of God on the geocentric creation.
The Fathers on the Geocentric Cosmos
Scripture Catholic - GEOCENTRISM
Before there was a Church, Enoch the prophet, the seventh from Adam, wrote the book of cosmology revealing the paths of the sun, moon, and stars and how they bring in God's years from the beginning unto eternity in perfect justice, never changing and never deviating.
Scripture doesn't say the earth doesn't spin. YeshuaSavedMe is adding to Scripture and interpreting figures of speech literally. For example, If I said "I'm so mad I could punt a puppy", a rational man would understand I was using hyperbole. YSM would say that I was literally going to punt a puppy.
I didn't do anything to be punted! please love me?
Scripture says that the Earth is suspended on nothing. Literally, a vacuum. We know earth to be a sphere from the book of Job, which means the earth has to behave in the way that a sphere should. Now, spheres behave according to the laws of gravity. This means that something that has more mass will exert gravitational control over less massive objects.
The sun is over a million times larger than the earth.
Knowing that the sun is that much larger than the earth, we know exactly what would happen if the earth were sitting still. It would be pulled literally into the sun.
Unfortunately, I don't see a violation here. It would make life so much simpler, though
Regarding "the stars falling to earth" ... do you know what would happen if the actual stars fell to earth?
It would do a lot more than burn 1/3 of the vegetation!
We may say "falling stars" and mean meteors. The Bible could say "falling stars" and mean meteors. Meteors can fall, and they look like stars are falling.
If the stars actually fell, there would be nothing left of the planet before the second one hit ...
That doesn't make Scripture a lie. It only means that passage can't be taken to be completely, absolutely literal, but might mean more the colloquial sense.
In the same way, we can say "the sun rises" ... not meaning that the sun is orbiting the earth, but meaning "we see it come up because we're standing on the earth". It's not a lie, it's just not to be taken in the literal sense, but in the colloquial sense in order to be true.
