The only confusing part of this verse is the one hour. Other verses suggest God's wrath and destruction occur in one hour! The city referred to is Babylon in Rev.18. This coastal city, a mighty city, deceived nations with sorcery, contained the blood of prophets and saints was destroyed in one hour. Jerusalem and Rome have been referred to as Babylon. I wouldn't call Jerusalem a might city of prosperity where the worlds merchants weep over her for, unable to do business. ??? They would mourn for Rome or New York or any major port city.
To symbolize Babylon in chapter 18 and say it is the world system that contained the influence born in Babylon that spread is a possibility.

Ten FEMA governors of the U.S. doesn't sound like it fits, since they are kings/rulers/presidents of kingdoms/countries that make up the beast.

It is my very strong belief that the USA is the daughter of babylon, no other nation fits the characteristics of that last great nation described in Jer 50-51, Revelation 18, Isaiah 13-14, 47 like the USA does...

This whole correlation of BHO and prophetic interpretation is too coincidental I must say. At the time of your proposed date of 3/22 as the beginning of the GT, He would have a little more than 3 1/2 years left. Scripture does imply that the antichrist isn't revealed until he suffers a deadly blow to the head and apparently is resurrected (resuscitated) back to life, at which time Satan enters into him. This person (host) does not necessarily know anything a about this. If it was BHO, his actions leading up to this; favoring Islam, allowing Iran time to build a nuke, collapse our economy, may all be well meaning in his mind. He may in fact claim to be Christian and believe it. A person before possession does not know it's coming or may not be doing anything related to Satanic worship and such. Granted playing with Oueja board, witchcraft, and Satanic meetings would invite possession but whoever this host is, may not have a clue what is about to happen. And this would play more into a massive public deception.

The city Babylon was great for 2000 years then emptied and died. Remember Babylon's language was confused and then the inhabitants dispersed throughout the world, spreading their beliefs to every corner. Babylon's false religions and philosphies have corrupted the whole world and therefore, the Babylon spoken of in Revelation must be the world system, because we are all corrupt. We will all be judged in the Great Tribulation.

It's likely that many prophecies concerning Babylon referred to historical wars that already happened.

Which is why the beast has manifested itself in different areas: Babylon, Medo/Persian, Greek and Roman empires. Islam occupied that region for a long time and so it would be no surprise if this is another manifistation, not excusing the US or any other country from their evil contributions.

I watched the 2 hour video. The interpretation of the 70 weeks was compelling but had a flaw that I noticed. It disregarded two events in Dan. 9:26 and brushed right over them as if they were being avoided!
1. "...the Messiah is cut off ..." Well, in the GT, the Messiah does not get cut off!
2. "destroy the city and the sanctuary"
The prince who came after Jesus did destroy the city and temple in 70AD!

But they seem to make everything else work. But examining the alternate interpretation, in which "weeks of years" adds up to 483 years, brings us to Christ's "First Coming" and the finale week contains his ministry: In the middle of the week, he was "cut off"; He put an end to sin with His atonement; He made sacrifice in the temple obsolete; He made an New Covenant and then years later the city and temple were destroyed! I do believe this interpretation is stronger!
Nevertheless, that one generation is 70 years and this can be applied to Israel becoming a nation in 1948 is a valid observation in prophecy. That leaves us with the same timeline give or take a year.

The bottom line is: This video claims that the Great Tribulation will start on March 22, 2013, so if this date comes and goes and nothing happens, then we will know this ministry is somewhat off --but not entirely, especially if they only miss it by a year or so. We'll see.
