CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My stepdad's from Newfoundland though, so he definitely has one. I had no clue what he was saying when we first met but now I am so used to it. We went to Newfoundland for a few days and I picked up an accent there but it was gone when I came home.

Have you ever noticed that when you watch the Olympics, all of our athletes seem to be french? lol

I'm from Nova Scotia... I went to university in NB last year and I want to go to PEI for school in September, I sent in my application but it's really hard to get into.

UPEI has a vet program, my mom was talking to someone who might take it.

Cool! I'm serious about the Acadia thing though. My friend Josh thinks he wants to stay out there. He plays on their football team and he's got a girlfriend out there too. He new he loved it there before he started school there though because his grandparents live there and he used to visit them a couple times every year.

That's really weird...
I live about 20 min. drive and I go to a Bible study with Acadia girls Tuesday night, and I go to their ACF Friday nights, and a lot of Acadia students go to my church.

It would be a really small world if you knew him eh? I'm sure the chances are slim but his name is Josh Pavlicic. I can't remember his girlfriend's name though. So do you think you'll stay out east or have you thought about moving somewhere else some day?

Well, my ex boyfriend is in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in England so that was a possibility but we don't even talk anymore. I always planned on moving to England or the States... I don't know what I'm going to do.

That is crazy! I have always planned on moving to either England or the states! My family's from England and I lived there for about two years when I was about 5 and I miss it so much. I have thought about moving back but the family says it has changed so much that I should visit first before making any final decisions. Also, I have been down to the states so much and since I was in grade 7 I have wanted to move there. I was even going to sign up on the waiting list to get a green card.
