  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess the easiest answer would be compatibility but that would be obvious...so honesty is essential, sensitivity (not just to me but to others), drive/ambitious, loyal, intelligence is a big one, they need to be passionate about something...doesn't matter what really, just something, um...I've never really thought about it off the cuff like this. Those are the big ones that I can think of for now... Sense of humour is a nice quality too because you have to laugh.

Do you have a lot of good friends who support you?

I wouldnt say I have 'alot' but I do have enough to get the support from. But... I'd say that although friends are supportive, My mum is probably the most supportive 'friend' I have. I've messed up so many times and it's always been her that's been there to help me pick up the pieces.. so I'd say She is my most supportive friend. She's just one of those mums who doesnt think 'YOU DID WHAT?!? and then shout at me for 2hrs' she does get a bit mad at me, but then it's like right, what can I do to help you?... I dunno.. I may be a mummys boy but to be honest I dont care. I love my mum and she's amazing.

That's another quality that I like in a person. Someone who knows the importance of family. I am happy for you that you have a relationship like that with your mum. A lot of young people don't get along too wonderfully with their parents so she must be great and she obviously raised you right.

Do you think Canadians have a funny accent?
