CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hmmm... Christian or otherwise? I really enjoyed "The Effects of Light", but it's not a "Christian" book... it's a novel.

I guess they do, but I'm not one to argue about the advances in technology... if moving forward can help with medical technology that saves lives and the like, then I'm not going to whine about a camera phone.

Hmmm... I'm torn between a really nice truck and a cool vintage Aston Martin or something like that. The latter would make me feel sexy but the former would actually help me... I am constantly falling in love with big pieces of furniture or telling someone I'll help them move, and then trying to figure out how to put a piano in the back of a coupe.

Not really. I think everything will come in good time (or not at all, if that's what's supposed to happen). I really don't want a husband yet.
