  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

That's a good question --

I wouldn't. I learn from experience and see the way my parents treated me and how I feel and how my sister feel -- and use it as a guide.

I would guide my children with more in a Godly manner.

What did you learn from the September the 11th Terrorist attack?

What did you learn from the London bombings?

That the so-called "War on Terror" has been relatively ineffective and very misguided (well I'm sure that was pretty evident before the London Bombing, but having a terrorist attack occur after Sadiem Hussein was captured and the "war on terror" was declared, and fought, I think, nailed that home). If we want to fight terrorism, we should start at it's roots- extreme poverty and fight to bring an end to that, thus helping to bring an end to terrorism before it even happens, rather than having to counter it (and do so with more violence).

What social justice issues (if any) are of an interest to you?

Hmmm...Probably any social justice issue would interest me; however, I do not get fresh news very often...One that I can think of is the treatment of the native Americans, which is totally past but still effects the native Americans on the reservations very much...

When did you first leave home (meaning your parents home)?

When I went off to college, although I did come back for weekends & holidays. First time really out on my own was after college when I got a job & moved 2 hours away. I still go home often, though, to help them out with housework & stuff.

If you're watching a movie that's lousy, will you get up & leave the theater?

What is the guiltiest pleasure that you love to watch on tv?

Where do I start? :sorry: Umm... I guess Sex and the City would be the first one, then maybe Lost, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Daily Show (I find this show brilliant, but it does at times satire Christian beliefs :() and Jay Leno.

How did you find the church you currently attend?

Started attending because my brothers were going w/ a friend of theirs, & I didn't think it was fair that they got to go out on a school night & I didn't (it seemed logical to me when I was 4). So, mom talked to the mom of the friend, she was thrilled to take me too, & I've been there ever since.

If you were undercharged $5 on a restaurant tab, would you tell them? Why or why not?

No. Because chances are if I ever do the "M" word again it will be someone I met online because the dating pool in Indiana has been drained of any intelligent life.

Have you ever met anyone in person that you've first 'met' online? (not necessarily talking 'dates')

What's your main goal in life, aside from serving God?

If the Lord will bless me with a family one day, my main goal is to be good provider for my family as well as being a good father and a husband.

Which Biblical person would you like to meet the most except for Jesus Christ?

That would have to be John, mainly because he was the most beloved of Jesus, he lived the longest of all the disciples, and was the one who saw the Revelation...would love to sit and hear him speak.

What do you spend most of your time doing?

I think we're sharing the same gene pool!

Some form of youth ministry, whether it be actual spending time w/ the kids or prep work. Outside of that & work, I spend most free time reading or playing at Ms. Handyman.

What one hobby do you wish you could do? (paint, play an instrument, etc.)

It was about a year ago, if you call that a "date." I took her to dinner, spent $30, and we barely spoke.

And it was all my fault. I found out later she found me intimidating because I was abusing her.

BUT...recently I had the chance to beg her forgiveness, and now she's with a wonderful Christian fellow who respects her.

Would you date someone with a history of mental illness five years prior that had been in counseling and was on medication, and willing to accept further counseling? (Not that I have a history of mental illness...*attempts to whistle innocently and fails miserably*)

Mmm interesting question - i wouldn't, not because i have anything against people with mental illness, having got one myself, i think dating someone with a mental illness would be too hard for me, i need someone to keep me calm and grounded so i personally would not.

If you could choose any job in the world what would it be and why?
