  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I got the comment, but I'm still at 961 reps.

And I'd be hesitant to marry a woman who already had children, but it depends on if that's the woman God had for me.

Would you date a person who had one alcoholic drink (assuming they're drinking at the proper age) every once in a while?

Hmm... well, I know sometimes it takes a few days for my reps to go up... I dunno.

Anyway, yes, I would totally date someone who had an alcoholic drink every once in awhile... I love to try new wines and exotic beers myself, so first of all I couldn't be a hypocrit, and second of all I don't think there's anything wrong with it, as long as you aren't going to excesses.

What if someone was divorced (not for a biblical reason) and asked you out, and you didn't want to go out because of that reason. Would you tell them that or would you make up an excuse?

Do you/would you give people second chances? If they've wronged you or cheated on you in the past, would you give them another chance? (or what would it take for you to give them a second chance?)

Romans 8:1 (my signature in Greek) says that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

I want to take the attitude that even if my WIFE were to cheat on me, I'd take her back. But the only way to have that attitude is in Christ. :)

What would you do if your date committed sacrilege? (i.e., swore against God, listened to country music, wore liderhosen, etc...)

I'd laugh at her because liderhosen looks funny on everybody. I draw the line at blasphemy though.

Would you give your SO another chance if she stole your car and skipped town?

If she gave the car back, yeah.

What was your latest dream (as in, nocturnal vision)?

It was actually quite disturbing...one of those dreams that leaves you feeling strange for a day or two. Anyway, I was in New Orleans doing search and rescue work. It was nighttime and the city was completely deserted. Somehow, I was quickly "skating" across the water looking for victims. I came to what appeared to be an airport, and saw a ton of planes half submerged in water. For some reason, this made me feel really scared. I decided to leave the area and not search for anymore victims. I skated over to my mom's apartment. (She lived in New Orleans in my dream). She told me that she had heard that I didn't save anybody so she had been ordered to give me a lethal injection. I was pleading with her not to do it, but she gave me the shot right in the Deltoid with tears streaming down her face. A few minutes went by and I slowly felt the effects of the injection kicking in. I was slowly getting tunnel vision, and my body just felt weird. I was so scared. My mom was crying, but she told me if I just didn't fall asleep that the injection wouldn't kill me. I tired so HARD not to fall asleep. But after what seemed like eternity of slowly dying, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

That is the only dream I've ever died in. And with the exception of the time I spent in the Army, I've had vivid dreams almost every night of my life. It was horrible. It seemed so real...the feeling of slowly losing your vision and fading to blackness. I hope I never dream that kind of dream again.

Ok, my question:
Does the thought of eternal life (as in Heaven) somewhat creep you out?
(I know we should be excited about living forever in the perfect kingdom of Heaven, but I can't help but feel a little creeped when I think of FOREVER. I mean, forever with NO end. When I start thinking about it (not Heaven, but the fact that it's FOREVER), I try to force myself to think of something else because it makes me feel so strange. Do you get what I'm saying? If you don't, forgive me and I'll gladly try to make myself more clear.:) )
