Religion = man doing works attempting to reach God by man made rules.

Christianity
= God does the work. Then man must learn the rules of that relationship that had already had been established by God's work.

Not this silliness again. I know some Christians feel the need to redefine the word "religion" just so that they can exclude Christianity and thus make it "special", but by common definition and use of the word Christianity is a religion.

Deal.

Did you notice this part of how the word is used?

  1. Hockey is a religion in Canada.

  2. Politics are a religion to him.

  3. Where I live, high school football is religion.

  4. Food is religion in this house.

Christianity as Jesus and Paul, and others taught it, is real, sir.

Religion in relation to God is not real, though it may allude to real things in what it professes. Religion is like seductress promising to truly love you. It never happens. But, in the interim, a lot of lusting may take place.

Unregenerate scientists and God do not communicate.

Religion? Religion is man attempting to form a relationship with God on terms that men invent. Christianity is God bridging the gap between men and Himself.

Religion = man doing works attempting to reach God by man made rules.

Christianity
= God does the work. Then man must learn the rules of that relationship that had already had been established by God's work.

You should learn basic theology and basic philosophy.

Yes, like many words there are multiple definitions depending on the contextual usage (i.e. definition #4 which is what your examples allude to).

However in relation to the belief in and/or worship of a supernatural deity (i.e. the first definition), Christianity falls under that definition.

Religion in relation to God is not real, though it may allude to real things in what it professes. Religion is like seductress promising to truly love you. It never happens. But, in the interim, a lot of lusting may take place.

I know you want to make Christianity separate from all the other world's religions, but it's not going to work unless arbitrarily redefining and using private definitions of words. Which is silly.

Christianity is a religion, just like Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and so on.

It's just evolution, fine. If you want to call it variation fine. Whatever you call it, we apparently agree that a flock of finches flew to the Galapagos and there evolved--ahem, variated-- into 6 different genera and 15 different species . Can we not get hung up on the name, and talk about the physical changes that occurred?
the physical change is just another variation of finch.

sure it can, it happens all the time - unless you're going to assert that all children are perfect clones of their parents? or that all races of humans are middle-eastern and look exactly like Adam and Eve clones?

no. no human on earth has a unique complex biological system that other humans dont have.

Im an atheist. I dont believe in god(s).

Metaphysics is not something science cares about or adress.
I did not ask what you believe now. It was a hypothetical question.

I asked.... What would you think of Jesus if you discovered He invented DNA and its functions?

Uh huh, and you and I are just another variation of mammal.

Yes... Only in relation to the physical body.

Its the human soul that was created in the Image of God... Not, the body. Animal souls are generic in regards to God.

The body is only a biological machine that was designed to make the expression of the soul physically visible, and for mobility while we yet live in a physical world in time and space.

the point is that we can compare between them in some points.
That applies to all material things, yes?

Can you think of two things you can not compare?

how can a person specified by DNA invent DNA?

What would you think of Frank Sinatra if you discovered he invented chicken tikka vindaloo and its digestive repercussions?

Yet still. The Lord invented those biological mechanisms that would cause those digestive repercussions.... He created spices. Fennel did not evolve into curry. Thyme did not evolve into oregano.

He also created your volition to be sovereign in regards to Himself. You have made that aspect obvious.

I've already discussed some in this thread. Miracles are seen quite often, presently, by Orthodox Christian believers, so the non-Biblical source of miracles is faithful membership in the Church.

People demand to see proof because they are convinced that their is none to be seen. That is exactly how they want it (i.e. not to see). Are you one of these? If so, no proof will be given, and not because it doesn't exist, but only because you aren't predisposed to accept it. Where there is no predisposition, the ability to see is nonexistent. If I quote the Bible here at all, it's only to expose some to the things that can potentially lead certain people closer to being predisposed to belief and repentance.

Provide links please! What confirmed miracles have there been? Back up your claims!
