I'm so sorry to hear all that. If the USA gets too awful, is there any chance you and yours would move to Australia? Once you became citizens Medicare he is so much better!

If the worst comes to worst I have a sister who lives in Switzerland. Her ex is Swiss German and after they divorced she liked the country so much she stayed. She asked about my health insurance already and offered to help pay for it if needed, but I don't want to go that route.

I love this country, with all its faults, but I want to see it improved, not destroyed. IMO, the people in charge are destroying it. All the people who used to champion states rights and the constitution seem happy to have it shredded if done so in the service of a cause they support. We are committing human rights abuses and terrorizing our own citizens. I'm praying we survive and that all things truly will work for good.

There is no such thing as free health care - unless you do not pay taxes or the hospital, doctors, nurses and drug companies stop charging.

Mute point: They can't sign up for government health care programs.
The only care that is potentially funded is Emergency Care, which, by law, all hopitals are obligated to provide - regardless of a person's immigration status.
