to be "UNDER THE LAW" means to be guilty before GOD of breaking God's LAW *ROMANS 3:19-20.

hmm not much truth in that one . I would refer you to reading ROMANS 2:1-6. It is sin we have to die to (breaking God's LAW) you are confused. Why would we die to something that is HOLY; JUST and GOOD *ROMANS 7:12 that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is *ROMANS 3:20. Then again all those that CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will be crying out for the rock to fall on them *REVELATATION 6:15-16. We can understand why when reading HEBREWS 10:26-31. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Indeed we die to the law by not breaking it because all the law does is give us the KNOWLEDGE of what sin is if broken *ROMANS 3:20. Sorry my friend. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it *ROMANS 3:4. I would refer you to reading ROMANS 2:1-6. Do you believe God's WORD?

Can anyone provide any New Testament scriptures where Jesus or His Apostles, command the Church to gather on the Sabbath for worship?


A commandment comes from a command.

The Sabbath by definition is a rest day.

The written law commanded the nation of Israel to rest on the Sabbath (Exodus 20).

Gentiles were not under the law of Mt Sinai, i.e., the written law, hence Gentiles, need not rest on the Sabbath.

Worshiping the resurrected Christ is a seven day a week practice. Historically the church favored Sunday as the day to gather and break the bread, and to sing hymns to God.

The literal written, outward legal requirements of the law, were surpassed by Jesus Christ. We are now under grace and not the law. We are no longer under the condemnation of the law.

At least I will be honest. Because I quoted rom7:4-6 that led you to believe, I believe the ten commandments have been abolished. If you understood what those verses mean, you would not have jumped to that conclusion. And if you understood what Paul meant when he said we die to the law, you would not have told me I was confused.

What has been abolished is righteousness of obeying the law/ten commandments, what is written in nine of the ten commandments is not abolished, those laws are written in the mind and placed on the heart of the believer. The spiritual intent of the other commandment is upheld in born again believers seven days a week including satrurday. Please learn now. When Paul states we die to the law, he means we die to a righteousness of obeying the law. He was not confused, neither is anyone who quotes those verses and understands that is what he meant
