The Rosary Doesn't Do Much For Me...

Well we all have standards which we judge right and wrong. Ultimately, it is not up to us to judge. God will judge whether these people worshiped Him appropriately or not. That has nothing to do with how the person feels as an emotional response. I would hope that all of our spirituality is deeper than merely invoking nice "feelings". Frankly, I can't stand a lot of the happy, clappy worship that starts with a professional Christian rock band and ends with a vague, feel good message. While I don't think that is appropriate worship, I am not judgmental enough to make it a campaign to stop it.

I am on your side with this one. That is not worship but a rock concert.

Since you’re not Catholic, when it comes to the Rosary, I could not possibly care less what you love or don’t love or think.
Also since you like to keep using the word “biblically”, there is nowhere in the Bible where it says all truth is in the Bible. God gave us brains, and saints, and Doctors of the Church for a reason.

What I know is that Scripture is our sole source of normative, infallible apostolic revelation and that “all things necessary for salvation and concerning faith and life are taught in the Bible with enough clarity that the ordinary believer can find them there and understand.”

The truths that are not found in the Bible (e.g. the date of your birth, the structure of protein molecules) are not necessary for salvation.

Perhaps the most famous verse about truth in the Bible is what Jesus said
in John 14:6...…...
“… I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 1:14 also says...…………….
"So Jesus is truth and Jesus is also the Word".

Personally, I have not bashed anyone. I have simply stated that the Rosary is not a Bible direction but instead is an action which comes solely from traditions of men.

giving them special exemptions from Purgatory

rewarding those who pray the rosary with a high place in heaven.

Personally, I do not think using the rosary is idolatry, but neither do I think that the supposed spiritual benefits believed to come from praying the rosary or, for that matter, directing ones prayers to a created being rather than to God, is proper.

You are of course free to believe what you want. But your belief doesnt bind over half of the World's Christians.

However, we firmly deny that the writers of the New Testament were members of the Roman Catholic Church as we know it today. The Roman Catholic Church was not fully developed until several hundred years after the New Testament was written. It is not the same institution as disclosed in the New Testament. The New Testament books were written by members of the Lord's church, but they are not its author. God Himself is the author of the New Testament.

Hey OP: In order to get anything out of the rosary you have to meditate on the mysteries. It may be hard, but that's just the thing. Just because it's arduous doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.

The entire New Test. was written by the Apostles.

The Roman Catholic Church did not even exist when the Bible was written. The Old Testament was written before the time of Christ and long before the Roman Catholic Church. The New Testament was completely written within 70 years of the death of Christ.
