So then what's the point of getting upset over the 0 impact he has on domestic gas prices?

Which are speaking of? Internationally, which is what I responded to or domestic, which is now what you are referring to?

Can we please choose one. Many thanks

Domestic if you got lost.

I mean, given that Biden's new well permits in his first year beat out Trump's by 34%, I can't comprehend what your other points will be.

Outside of "more drilling permits", what can the prez. do?

Isn't gas higher than it's ever been all over the world? How is this Biden's plan to make gas supper expensive. Also I could have sworn I read he was opening more plants to produce gas in America.

Here is the conversation with main points out.
How did such a twisted lump of loser manage to single handedly affect gas prices across the entire planet?

I don't think the "twisted lump of loser" effected the prices internationally. Never said he did.

So then what's the point of getting upset over the 0 impact he has on domestic gas prices?

Which are speaking of? Internationally, which is what I responded to or domestic, which is now what you are referring to?
So oil prices are set because of INTERNATIONAL MARKETS. If oil prices are dictated by international markets, it stands to reason that domestic gas prices are affected by that too. Gas prices are high ALL OVER THE PLANET, there is nothing exceptional about the US in that regard and yet you seem to argue that either their SHOULD be or there IS: Because your President is able to make America different from the rest of the globe.
To parce this discussion into "domestic" and "international" because you want to blame someone who really doesn't have control over any of it, seems like an attempt to be convenient but not reasonable.

Clearly you understand the President can't affect international markets but you seem to think he can effect domestic ones. I think that's wrong.

The very thing he promised to do. He can cancel those permits.
Biden Administration Cancels Drilling Sales in Alaska and Gulf of Mexico

....and then blame everyone but himself for it.
The US currently produces about 12.3 MILLION barrels of oil PER DAY.
The Alaska reserve may produce as much as 100,000 a day.

That is 0.8%. Stop being so silly to think that's going to impact prices in a meaningful way (besides that stuff is just going to get delivered internationally anyways).

Of COURSE we do. I want to know what FACTS your opinion is based on or at LEAST which of my facts you think are wrong.

Would you be willing to share those?

You're comparing one location to the rest of the entire country? I hope you understand that the figure for the country as a whole comes from individual locations. Cutting off Alaska may not sound like much by itself, but why cut off any at all? Otherwise, you could point to plenty of other places and say, "That one only produces 50,000, and this other one is 250,000. Not much compared to 12.3 million, so cut them off!"

I'm comparing the OUTPUT of that one area to the country, yes.

We aren't "cutting of Alaska" Alaska isn't even "hooked up" yet. ALL of hte US...all of those 50G, 100G projects all over America ADD TOGETHER to 12.3 million. That is the current DAILY output of the US.
To add a couple drops of that will have NO effect on the price you pay at the pump.

No. I'm saying an 0.8% influx into the American Market (and, I don't believe for a second it would end up anywhere near America.) means butkiss and would NOT affect the price of gas at the pump.

So the braying over it can be put to rest. I'd like to hear REAL SOLUTIONS for Biden. Cause so far the have fantasy solutions will do nothing.

A real solution for America would be for biden to get out of the way and allow drilling.
A real solution for biden would be to resign, and take his VP with him.

These aren't solutions. These are talking points.

I have seen no evidence that even shows that "allowing drilling" would have ANY meaningful affect on domestic gas prices. Do you HAVE any other than "well of course it would drive the price down if we add more oil to the system!" because thatis ALSO intellectually lazy without providing numbers.

You don't solve problems by spouting off talking points.

No, no I don't think you have. Besides, here is a thread where we are specifically talking about that topic. If the ideas are sound, there's no reason to be ashamed or too lazy to share them here.

Let's take a little peak! Or maybe you could just link me to a couple posts if you don't want tot ype it out again.

Based on my skim of this thread, incredibly hard to find. I mean there's a lot of weak and misguided arguments, but nothing meaningful. I was hoping for meaningful insights. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

But perhaps we have different standards for basing our opinions on reality and data.
