The rise in gas prices has always been part of Biden's plans

We have several vaccines, only one of which was developed under Operation Warp Speed. I have already give Trump credit for his part, but he didn't single-handedly cure covid.

There are a lot of people who will be outraged to hear that, including Donald himself.

After all, you would think the man who single-handedly saved Christianity itself would be able to take care of a pandemic...

Also it is a shame that he didn't promote the vaccines once they became available.

Well, once he didn't get the praise he felt he was entitled to, his about-face was inevitable...

Donald is predictable in that he always sides with the loudest sycophants...

So rising gas prices are a feature after all, and not a bug. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

But Biden blamed the Russian invasion of Ukraine for the gas price increase. I feel manipulated.
So does Bernard Looney, CEO of BP (Reuters, May 3, 2022).

It is gonna be hard now that joe let the cat out of the bag. Big oil won't want to invest in oil knowing the progressive leftist are trying to get them shut down. Something would have to occur in market conditions or in government priorities in order to get them re-investing those profits.....like a republican admin for instance.....

It is gonna be hard now that uncle joe let the cat out of the bag. Big oil won't want to invest in oil knowing the progressive leftist are trying to get them shut down.

Are you saying it was a big secret up until now?

Something would have to occur in market conditions or in government priorities in order to get them re-investing those profits.....like a republican admin for instance.....

Such an administration would be well paid off compensated via intense bribery lobbying from Big Oil... Not that they would ever do such a thing... Just like they would never engage in gouging... So let's not bother discussing the impossibility.

Out of touch as ever, President Biden celebrated record-high gas prices Monday, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels.

“[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said during a press conference in Japan following his meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Deceptive writing.

Taxes -- assuming they are paid -- aren't going to fill your gas tank.
Guess I have to explain, if the product is kept in this country the increased supply will reduce the price.

It's not an excuse, it's a reason, one of many. You asked, "What changed" and that was a big change.

Trump like many conservatives believes that people are adults and can make their own decision on what is best for them, they do not need elites to be their parents and force them to do things that are not best for them.

Guess I have to explain that the product isn't going to be kept in this country.

But explaining how the global oil market works is a tall order -- for now, just note the word "global."

It really is time to get off fossil fuel and stop letting gas companies hold us hostage. I think people forget that the President does not set gas prices. Otherwise, you have to blame GW Bush for the over $5 a gallon prices under him (with $5 being worth much more in Y2K gas prices were even more outrageous but we don't blame him do we?). Gas companies charge what they can get. They are not a public service they are a private industry that adheres to the laws of supply and demand. As oil reserves dwindle the price will go up and up. The way to stop it is to get off oil. Not to mention how we could help our Earth mother without all the Co2 and waste products from drilling.

In intimate moment, Biden vows to 'end fossil fuel'

Biden denied the donor's association to the fossil fuel industry before calling the young woman "kiddo" and taking her hand. He said, "I want you to look at my eyes. I guarantee you. I guarantee you. We're going to end fossil fuel."
Joe Biden: "We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels" - Americans for Tax Reform

“That’s okay, these guys are okay, they want to do the same thing that I want to do, they want to phase out fossil fuels and we’re going to phase out fossil fuels.”

Biden’s hostility to energy industry workers is nothing new, either. In December he suggested if coal miners lose their job due to his policies they should learn to code.

Biden has also said “we should put them in jail” when talking about fossil fuel executives.

Biden also endorsed a carbon tax on the American people, which will force households to pay much higher gasoline, heating, and cooling bills.

Biden Executive Order Can Help U.S. End Fossil Fuel Finance

President Biden’s Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad has put the climate crisis front and center in US foreign policy and national security discussions. It has also put a spotlight on the need to end US support and financing for fossil fuels abroad. Here are key portions of the Executive Order related to finance and my thoughts on how the Biden-Harris Administration can move forward quickly to adopt an ambitious climate finance plan in terms of limiting fossil fuel financing.
But he's so ineffectual and old and stupid.

How did such a twisted lump of loser manage to single handedly affect gas prices across the entire planet?

Ever heard of a place called Ukraine?

You refering to Hunter Biden's employer?

But he's so ineffectual and old and stupid.

I don't think the "twisted lump of loser" effected the prices internationally. Never said he did.

And although I have thought it - I have never referred to joe as a "twisted lump of loser". I don't disagree with the phrase, I just have never considered calling a sitting president a "twisted lump of loser".

Instead we will allow mining companies hold us hostage for the minerals needed to produce everything for those electric cars. But liberals have already decimated the mining industry claiming it harms the earth.

How are you going to reconcile that? Minerals in the ground are not replenishable while oil is.

So then what's the point of getting upset over the 0 impact he has on domestic gas prices?

And although I have thought it - I have never referred to joe as a "twisted lump of loser". I don't disagree with the phrase, I just have never considered calling a sitting president a "twisted lump of loser".
yes. It's been made very clear that we all hold a very high esteem for the nation's highest office and nobody uses hyperbolic labels to diss the person in it.
