Dear Hugs: Being brilliant can have side issues which may be hard to deal with. I am pleased your brilliant friend is helping others a lot. There is no simple road back into fellowship with Abba. A heart that longs to know Him, a simple humility of spirit, & a simple obedience to His voice in the inner man/ woman I believe are the foundations by which we are expanded by His love and grace.
The following book by Thomas Allin is one of the finest works F.L. has read. For any one reading these words: print it off and quietly present yourself before your Father in your favorite prayer closet and read.

11. Would not endless punishment be the return of evil for evil?
12. As we are commanded "to overcome evil with good," may we not safely infer that God will do the same? (Rom. 12:21)
13. Would the infliction of endless punishment be overcoming evil with good?
14. If God hates the sinner, does the sinner do wrong in hating Him?
15. Is God a changeable being? (James 1:17)
16. If God loves His enemies now, will he not always love them?
17. Is it just for God to be "kind to the evil and unthankful," in their present life? (Luke 6:35)
To be continued
18. Would it be unjust for God to be kind to all men in a future state?
19. If all men justly deserve endless punishment, will not those who are saved, be saved unjustly?
20. If God "will by no means clear the guilty," by what means can just punishment be evaded? (Ex. 34:7)
21. As no man can measure endless punishment to his neighbor, will endless punishment be measured to him? (Luke 4:38)
22. Would it be merciful in God to inflict endless punishment? -- that is, merciful to the sufferer?
23. Can that be just which is not merciful?
24. Do not cruelty and injustice go hand in hand?

"...we have the redemption through His blood, the release from sins, coming with the rich gift which He poured into us with all wisdom and intelligence; making known to us the mystery of His intention, with His decision which He had determined with Himself to administer at the completion of the periods, when everything was to be centred again in the Messiah, both upon the heavens and a upon the earth : in Him, by Whom we have also inherited according to His purpose Who foresees and energizes all things, which have been prepared to accomplish the intention of His will;..."
Please note:
The restitution of the all is a "mystery" that must be "made known" by the Lord. This mystery is His "intention" & "His "decision" determined "with Himself".
There is no consultation with anyone, it is exclusively determined within Himself!

26. Does divine justice demand the infliction of pain from which mercy recoils?
27. Does divine mercy require any thing that justice refuses to grant?
28. If the demands of divine justice are opposed to the requirements of mercy, is not God divided against Himself?
29. If the requirements of mercy are opposed to the demands of the justice of God, can His kingdom stand? -- (Mark 3:24)
30. If the justice and mercy of God are any way opposed, do they "keep the unity of the spirit in the bonds of peace?'

Hi FL... sorry, i was on another thread hearing about the problem of good and evil, it was very satisfying to my heart, and now i have moved on to the next question... the next chink in my armour
in Job it says that God 'wounds and He heals'
in the NT it says 'after you have suffered a little while'
and we are supposed to partake in Jesus' suffering, i think
i don't know how to have a good faith for my healing if i'm thinking God WANTS me to suffer
does anybody have a study done on suffering? a revelation?
Hi Hugs. F.L. is not quite home to my "chateau" so this will be brief. Do not say goody!
God does NOT want you to suffer. Suffering is but a road all of us experience in one degree or another (some in intense degrees). Think of it in this way: in our battles there are spoils to be won. We are enhanced by the road as well as the destination.
My dear Hugs: We are coming home from visiting some who are on the third floor of a rest home. On that floor you cannot push the elevator button to leave unless you know the code.
I know F.L. posted this earlier, but a brother who was in an insane ward wrote on the wall regarding the love of God. There is no where He is not, and it is there He meets with us!
“Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without compass, God's love encompasses us completely. ... He loves every one of us, even those who are flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken.” - Dieter F. Uchtdorf-
but it clearly says that God chastens, and in Job, HE wounds, and He heals
how do i know when my chastening is done?
how do i know when God is done making me suffer and it's time to have faith for healing?
God told me that i was like Joseph, and i had to wait for healing...
how long? and what am i supposed to be doing in the mean time?
what was Joseph doing?
