• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Because he was obeying God.

Yes, but he was only able to obey God because He loved God not because he followed the law.

BTW- Even David did not keep the law perfectly.

I was referring to your vague arguments.

Where are my arguments vague?

Did I suggest he did?

See even you do strawman arguments! Of course maybe that's why you cite them so often. You use them so often!!

Perfection is found in Him... we are to go and sin no more... we can replace His instructions.. with.. I can't.. cause that would show our lack of faith in Him who is able to strengthen us to be able to ... and many have proven that it is done... no better or worse than those who claim it can't be done..

So one can keep the law apart from loving God?

Oh. my arguments about that are not vague at all. I categorically will argue that the law, all of the law, is not applicable to the Christian.

Frankly? Yes. Many love to change meanings to fit their agenda.

See Romans 8:7

Oh. my arguments about that are not vague at all. I categorically will argue that the law, all of the law, is not applicable to the Christian.
So Christian then are free to break it.

Your argument is one that says we've been pardoned and free to continue to break the law.

Studies show that folks that have a diet free of animal products live significantly longer than those who don't.

Eat up folks!

No pulled pork sammies in Heaven!

Now hold on my bro RND, if you want to see good days refrain your lips from speaking guile, not from tasting hotdogs;)

Long days on the land is connected to honouring your father and mother not pork chops correct?

Chew on that;) lips again and not what goes into them but what comes out right?

What is our life but a vapor that appears for and is gone before you know it? Meats for the belly and the belly for meats God will destroy both them and it

Yep.

I didn't miss any of them but you seems to ignore the rest.
Ah, the old "neener, neener" argument. The "rest" of what you pointed to have nothing to do with the verse you cited.

"give true meaning - Mt 5:17"

In other words "fill up" what was meant. I get it.

You don't get to choose bro. The definition is exacted by the context not by what you want it to be.
Which, if you were to look, you'd see that what you cited actually agrees with the Strong's and Thayer's.
