“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Actually, Glenn Beck is one of the Two Witnesses.

Check out when Pat Gray joined up with Glenn Beck in witnessing. It was on July 13, 2009. Count 1260 days to Dec 24, 2012. Check out the date Achilles predicted the two witnesses mission would end, Dec 24.

Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11:11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them
.

If Beck and Gray are the witnesses, then justsurfing's timeline is only off by about six months.

The midpoint of the apocalypse is not the final return of Jesus Christ. It is the time of the rising of a prophesied nation on earth that will be protected during the Great Tribulation.

If we are awake and know the day that the 666 beast rises initiating the apocalypse, the scripture tells us that 1260 days later he commits the abomination of desolation.

The abomination of desolation is not the coming of the Lord. It's a day "eligible" in scripture to be known so long as people are watching and praying. It's eligible to be revealed by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God in my opinion.

God doesn't want us to be blind and not know who the 666 beast is AS HE RISES ~~ and WHEN the 7 year apocalypse begins AS IT BEGINS.

We can know these things, I believe.

Hi Lisa, yes, it's very disruptive to the study of the Word and Christian discussion. I'm sorry that's happened. I believe people who post in that manner should have their posts deleted. Their posting privileges revoked. They should not be allowed to pollute a thread.

Also, it is not always a case of spiritual maturity. Not everyone who says he is a Christian is a Christian. By their fruits we will know them.

Matthew 7:20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. 21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Persons should not be allowed to come onto Christian discussion threads and create distractions with Alinskey tactics of ridicule.

Thanks for your note, Lisa. God's blessing to you.

For me, I think it remains to be seen who the two witnesses are. I will withhold an opinion at this time.

No, it doesn't. The martyrs are crying out to be avenged. They want final judgment against those who killed them. They are given white robes and told they have to wait until more martyrs come in BEFORE THEY ARE AVENGED/BEFORE FINAL JUDGMENT COMES.

God waits to pour out wrath upon the 666 beast system (outside the protected area) until all saints are sealed and protected on earth and/or martyred.

No, Rev 7 says only the 144,000 are sealed and protected on earth before the wrath begins. The entire 7th seal is the wrath of God - it includes the trumpets, the beasts, and the bowls. THEN, final destruction/judgment.

The great tribulation is over at the 6th seal. Everything following the 6th seal is the wrath of God. The abomination of desolation preceded the great tribulation, not the wrath, according to Jesus.

Uh, no...it doesn't say that at all.

Revelation 18 is referring to Mystery Babylon. The beast/anti-christ destroys her, fulfilling Gods will. Mystery Babylon is described in Isaiah 46.

I don't know where you are getting "land of Rev 12" and "land of Rev 18". That's not in my Bible.

Jesus Christ counsels everyone to be watching for the abomination of desolation to occur. When it happens, if you are not prepared, then you will not escape the Great Tribulation. Also, if you are on the land of the USA that is the land of Revelation 18, you will be burned and annihilated as the land is purged for those who are prepared to arise on the land in protection. They escape the Great Tribulation.

Now, Jesus Christ would not tell us to be PREPARED and READY and WATCHING and KNOWING when the abomination of desolation occurs, if He expected us to be blind, ignorant, incapable of seeing and knowing the abomination of desolation when it occurs:

Matthew 24:15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Jesus instructed Christians to watch, to pray, to KNOW when the SEASON is at hand. We should be able to see CLEARLY when the 666 beast rises, and when therefore the 7 year period of the apocalypse began. Not everyone will be counted worthy to escape the snare that is coming upon the whole earth in the abomination of desolation. Only those who heed the Word, listen to Jesus, watch, pray, and are awake to see and know. Otherwise, they are deluded, sleeping, and caught up in the cares of this world. The day will close upon them like a trap. The won't see it coming.

Luke 21:30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The burning will come on one day and in one hour. Those who are not prepared, are not watching, do not the see the trap springing, are not prepared to heed the angel who calls the Christians to separate because they are not spiritually awake and alert and their ears are dull of hearing, will not survive the day if they are on the land of Revelation 18. If there IS a "translation into the land of Revelation 12" even as Philip the eunuch was translated from one place to another on earth, then those who are not awake and attuned to the Spirit will not hear the cry and make the translation into the land of safety. They will not escape the Great Tribulation having missed entrance into the land of protection:

Revelation 18: 4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Those who have the temerity to mock me as I warn of the day fast approaching and speak to share what I see and to call the church to watch and pray ~~ you will reap what you sow for GOD is not mocked.

2 Chronicles 36:15And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 16But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

Galatians 6:7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The problem with your interpretation is that you are translating the symbolism of Revelations in the context of current events. You have allowed the events around you to completely twist Johns message in Revelations to the point that it would be completely unrecognizable to a 2nd century christian. You need to understand how biblical symbolism works in order to understand how the prophetic genre of writings were meant to be interpreted. Biblical symbolism is clearly established in the bible and is not left to any arbitrary interpretation for the reader. While there has not been total consensus on how Revelations was meant to be interpreted, theologians have through the centuries interpreted Revelations based on a clearly established tradition going back to the early church and continued into Reformation. Your interpretation is completely outside of the understanding of this tradition. I would recommend reading more about how to interpret Revelations, it may give you greater insights on its teachings.

Uh, no...he was counseling those standing before him as he was speaking:

Matt 23:

36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Matt 24: 34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The abomination of desolation referred to the desolation of Israel which continues to this day! The Great Tribulation which Jesus said would immediately follow the desolation also continues to this day!
What remains is the cutting short of the tribulation and the beginning of wrath!

Date setters are always wrong, and yet that fact never seems to deter them in the least. When their latest date for the return of our Lord, or "The Rapture", whichever they believe in, proves to be just another day, they simply slide the date ahead to some new future date and start the whole mill over again.

Some day the Lord will actually return, in all probability on a date when the setters have assured us that He can't possibly return, and put a stop to the nonsense once and for all. Until then they'll keep finding Signs of the End in every newspaper article, and setting a new date whenever they blow an old one.

And with that people will sit and argue about how their understanding is superiors than another's and how so and so is wrong and how they right....

It's a never ending circle, especially in a places such as this one.

The bickering is like mud and we are like pigs. We roll in it, willingly, with smiles on our faces thinking we're oh so righteous.

One thing we should all agree on is that today can be our/your last and we should be living for Christ's glory, not our own, not for our own.

Bickering, mocking, etc. do not glorify Christ, they do not build up His Kingdom but rather help to tear it apart, if it were possible. Such deeds are the work of the devil.

The rising of the nation of Revelation 12 is not some "mystery" that cannot be known. Very simply, at the midpoint of the apocalypse, the abomination of desolation occurs. The land represented in Revelation 18 is going to be burned in one hour in one day. Christians are going to be called to come out and enter an area of protection (Rev. 18:4). Those Christians are going to remain alive, protected incredibly by God through an angel coming down in great glory (Rev. 18:1-3). Try just letting the scripture move through you and process them.

Picture it. There is a massive group of people on one specific land and nation. The Christians are separated out by this incredible angel coming down in great glory ~~ all those, at least, who are WATCHING and PREPARED for this event somehow and ATTUNED. Meanwhile, this fire goes across the whole land and burns everyone who is not protected.

What happens?? Just picture the scene. Christians protected who are ready. Others not protected. Result?? Only people left on that land are Christians who were specifically protected by an angel in great glory. Suddenly, you have a "nation" of only Christians who are incredibly anointed of God and separated from the world protected by God.

What's that like?? It's not a "rapture" how people "picture" a "rapture" ~~ but it is the same net effect on earth. They are in a protected area protected by an incredible angel and angelic host for the Great Tribulation.

Now, when does the abomination of desolation occur?? Let's just try to think and process the information the Bible has given us.

The abomination of desolation, the Bible CLEARLY STATES, occurs 1260 days AFTER the apocalypse begins. When does the apocalypse begin?? When a world leader who IS the 666 beast "confirms the covenant with the many". Now, let's just try to think. What happens when you TAKE AN OATH OF OFFICE?? What are you DOING?? You are "confirming a covenant with the many". That's what a swearing in is. You are making a covenant to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution of the USA. What is the Constitution of the USA?? It's the "charter" of a nation under God to maintain it's biblical order of liberty and freedoms maintaining that nation, basically, under the principles of biblical liberty under God.

Please check out my blog on Sotero and his inauguration. Endtime Prophecy ~ Part III Rise of the 666 Beast 1/20/2009 (or 1/21/2009) in Obama (aka Sotero) “Inauguration”?? | 12 Star Truth

Sincerely, I know "enough" about the rise of Sotero and what is happening in world events right now ~~ because I have been watching and praying ~~ that it's not much of a mystery. The odds are very high that the event that initiates the apocalypse, the 666 beast taking oath of office which equals confirming the covenant with the many as he rises to world political power (in the office of POTUS as "leader of the free world", etc., etc.) occurred on January 21, 2009.

So, honestly, it is not rocket science to know that the abomination of desolation would thereby be "scheduled" by God to occur on July 4, 2012.

It's honestly not hard. People can just set aside all of their fears about "looking" and "knowing" and being "able to see", and just let the Word of God work in a person and "line it up" with what is happening.

What happens when the nation of Revelation rises is NOT the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's an area of protection established on earth and it is "like" a rapture event in net effect. We can take the Bible, let it process through, apply it ~~ and it's easy to see.

Then we just "watch and pray" as we wait to see what occurs between now and July 4, 2012. Things should progress and accelerate clearly revealing through the fulfillment of these events that a world government is rising, the people are prepared to call Sotero "God" increasingly.

That's all I am saying. Please review the evidence. Please review the scripture, and watch and pray. The 3 wise men saw the star in the East and knew that Jesus was born King of the Jews. Never imagine that God does not give insight regarding time and events. He told us to watch, pray, and be ready for the abomination of desolations KNOWING how to escape.

I'm just putting a sign marker down on the road with an arrow pointing to Revelation 12.

Let's not be superstitious and fearful and miss the relatively obvious.

Amen. I'm just trying to point out something that at first seems "ethereal" and "beyond our grasp" ~~ and make it simple. We have different parts of the body that see different things . We're to "report back" to the body of Christ what we see.

I'm trying to make it simple and easy so that it "pops up" ~~ is right in front of us, and we can then watch and pray. By being "cued" to "watch and pray" ~~ it just might "get some people prepared" for escaping the Great Tribulation. Maybe someday, who knows... someone might thank me.

God bless you.

Or more bluntly stated, Christians don't mock or belittle others.

At least Christians when faced with the fact that mocking and belittling others is unChristian could apologize and try to be more considerate. Especially, honestly, when I am sincerely doing the best I can to serve God and the church to share what I see ~~ they could at least say, "I'm sorry".

They could show that God is working in their hearts by erasing offending remarks. And if they don't, what does that show??

Yes, Revelations is as much a relevant a book of scripture now as in anytime in history. Indeed, the text of Revelations is a warning to Christians of events that have already transpired and those to come so that we may sanctify ourselves and prepare for Christ Return. That we are agreed, my point of contention is interpreting Revelations as it was intended rather than being caught up in current events so much that we in error transform Revelations as to meet our own world view.

God didn't write the Bible for only 2nd century Christians. 2nd century Christians would not be given the grace to comprehend the end time scriptures any more than Daniel was. The words are sealed until the time of the end.

John's Revelation is meant for all Christians, for all periods of time, from the day his Revelation was made known to the world, to the day of Christ return. While 2nd century Christians may not have been able to know all the various details of the prophetic message of Revelations, these early Christians would have a good understanding of its true intent. While many people today struggle understanding the symbolism of Revelations, for a Second Century Christian familiar with other genres of prophetic writing, the mean would be clear. It is a matter for Christians today to respect the history of the early church and seek to understand the original intent of Revelations.

I apologize that my comments were denigrating and harmful. I admit that I was a bit prideful and my comment did mean to be critical, but I did not mean it to be an insult. I was never the less wrong and I am sorry.

Hopefully this comes off as more respectful. While I agree that we should study scripture through the guidance of the Holy Spirit it can also be very illuminating to study how Revelations has been interpreted throughout history. The history of the early church, the German and English Reformations, and the unique history of Christianity in America is fascinating. Let us not think that we can not learn from other great theologians such as Augustine and Luther who I believe were guided by the Holy Spirit in their interpretations of Revelations.
