Pentecost wasn't about being born again, but about the sons and daughters of God receiving power to continue the work Jesus did.Jesus told His Apostles that the Holy Spirit was beside them, but to tarry and wait to receive Him coming into them!
Regeneration is being made alive by the Holy Spirit.The OT believers in the coming Messiah were saved due to the Cross of Christ, just as we are now, but were regenerated and had their sins remitted, but were not sealed and indwelt by the Holy Spirit as we now are!
Myself i cant see how real apostles would start thousands of different denominations that cannot agree on what is and isnt sound doctrine. If their teachers cant agree with each other how can they all be called by God?I think all churches should.

Who so ever believes..he shall ask what he will and i will do it..Mueller had the gift of faith from God to trust the Lord to do as he did for His Orphanage, as God gave Him that special gift for that special task, but was not given to everyone!
And Spurgeon NEVER would have seen anything as equal to the scriptures for teaching and preaching and the revelation from God to us!
