Like putting the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil out of reach
I am sorry if that is all out got out of it. Is there anything else I can help you with?In this ridiculously long and drawn out response, you failed to answer my question.
I am aware Christian theology says sin entered through Adam and Eve, that's not what I asked.
I asked if you believe it's just to punish people for the crimes their ancestors committed?
So basically your response is this all happened because god is a narcissist. Ok.

You haven't responded on whether you believe it's just to punish people for the crimes of their ancestors.
Yes He does have the power to create humans that do not choose to do evil.
God would be good regardless.Given the suffering that takes place due to humans choosing to do evil, do you believe that a god who doesn't create humans who don't choose to do evil can be called "good"?
Natural sin is simply the "desire" to sin. Not sin itself. We are not punished for desiring to sin. We are punished for the sin itself.

I am not in the position to say that anything God does or does not do unjust. When did I say anything about desiring to sin, or anything like that?
It's a very simple question I'm asking here. What's the problem?
Do you believe it's just to punish people for the crimes of their ancestors?
I am not in the position to say that anything God does or does not do unjust.
Because it's just an allegory, a morality tale? Why create the tree in the first place?
TL;DRRead post #826.
That's how morality tales work. Seems to me that the people it was addressed to would have understood that; theirs was a mainly oral culture based on narrative mixtures of history, fiction, morality tales, and folklore. They may not have made as clear distinctions between those categories as we do, but they'd know a morality lesson when they heard one.Or even better, why even bother considering the ludicrous notion that you gain knowledge about good and evil from eating a piece of fruit?
You asked if it is just to punish people for the crimes of their ancestors. You did not specifically say who is punishing whom for what reason. If it is God doing the punishing, the answer is yes... it is just because God is just. Is there anything else I can help you with. But yet, if you believed his actions were just I doubt you'd be so hesitant to answer.
In essence, you answered without answering. That's good enough.

Who is getting punished for the crimes of their ancestors? What if it's anyone else punishing anyone else for the crimes of their ancestors?
God would be good regardless.
Who is getting punished for the crimes of their ancestors?
Are you getting punished for the crimes of your ancestors?Does that matter? You're evading the question.
Is it moral for any person who is not god to punish other people for the crimes of their ancestors?
