Aneirin awoke to the vague feeling that she had been sleeping on a rock. "What?' she mumbled sleepily, brushing strands of her dark hair out her face. "I must have fainted from my spell. The Priestess warned me not to do advanced things like that..." She trailed off as she noticed everyone else was looking around groggily also. She jumped at the sight of a stretching roc and inched backwards slowly. She cautiously eyed the party who she had tried to help, wondering if she should leave before anyone noticed her.

 

[Lessien]

Zalika looked around. She figured she wasn't dead, at least not yet. She glanced over at a strange girl she hadn't seen before. "High Preistess...? What are you talking about....?"

 

[Ellesar]

((what's been happening?))

 

[shernren]

((Somebody zapped us with a stun something-or-other spell.))

Kuillia faintly heard the words "High Priestess" and jumped to his feet. "The High Priestess? Of the religion of Chama of war?" He stood, still struggling, and slowly walked towards her. "If you dare touch a hair on this party's heads..."

 

[Soldier_For_Christ]

"Relax, Kuillia." said Tenkana, wandering toward the rest of the group. "If anything, I think she was trying to help us."

 

[Lessien]

"Chama?!" Zalika was wide awake now. Terriffic. My father's worst enemies.....

 

[Soldier_For_Christ]

Tenkana paused. Chama? sounds familiar... "Who's Chama?"

 

[Lessien]

"Murderers," Zalika hissed. "She's the godess of murder, and her followers are murderers."

ooc: concerning the magic i used on everyone- it wasn't a spell Mathonwy's abilities as a Mystic of the Waters is to absorb negative thoughts/emotions/feelings/etc. and release them either by poaring them into another being, through meditation, or by expelling it in pure energy. What I used on you guys was the last type, for because of its negative nature those untrained in how to harbor/handle it usually become momentarily paralyzed, or can black out if the degree released was high enough, after being hit. I hopes i haven't cornfuzzled...

Vili turned and noticed a strange looking man standing a short distance from them. The druids of Ordki were the only magic users he knew of, but he could tell this man was of a mystic nature. "Er... excuse me, good sir... Are you responsible for pacifying the guards?"

ic: As he was walking away from the scene as not to call unwanted attention to himself or his magic, Mathonwy heard someone address him. Not knowing quite what to do, he looked for an escape route, which he found and promptly followed off to his right down the left corridor to his room.

'I hope Aneiren didn't see me,' he thought.

 

[Paladin Dave]

"Wait! Sir! Dont go! I must repay you for saving my life!" Vili cried as he leapt to his feet and chased after Mathonwy(no offense to Kullia).

((ok...I'm gonna try to bring my char back into this...I would have earlier, but I've been kinda lost in this rpg since I've got back from Spring break))

Kayden stood near the others, wondering what had happened.

ic: hearing quickening footsteps from the voice behind him, Mathonwy panicked.

'Where to go where to go where...uhm..hmm'

He dodged into the library, and began scaling the long winding stair to the third floor where he new a good hiding place that he had found as a child.

"Sir! Sir! Please, I must do something to repay you by tribal law!" Vili pleaded as he stood lost in the huge library.

Tenkana's eyes widened at Zalika's words and then relaxed slightly. As Vili ran off, Tenkana decided that he would be safe. "Let us not make such quick assumptions, Zalika." He then turned to Aneirin. "I don't know who you are or anything about you, but some information would be nice so that we can trust you." He then added, "Truthful information, of course."

Kuillia watched as Vili ran off into the city. I should have just dropped that ungrateful brute, he thought, all the while inching towards Aneirin, watching should she try anything funny.

((no I personally have nothing against you, Paladin, but Kuillia might not be that magnanimous. XD))

Aneirin eyed the group suspiciously. "Chama may be the goddess of war," she commented matter-of-factly, "but that does not mean her followers are all raging beserkers lusting for blood." She smiled faintly and hoped the others couldn't see her fear under her mask of cordiality. "I am Aneirin, student of Chama and soon-to-be priestess." Her face fell slightly. "I am not so sure about the last part, tho-"

She abruptly cut herself off. Here she was, standing with a bunch of strangers, about to give her life story. What would the High Priestess think? She narrowed her eyes and now her tone was fringed with ice. "Now you know about me, but who are you? What business have you at the Citadel?"

 

[Lessien]

"Why do YOU want to know?" Zalika asked just as icily, her vampire accent worse now than ever before, fangs flashing in the waning light.

Aneirin felt her stomach tighten in anger. "I want to know because I have the power to roast you here you stand." She said every word slowly, deliberately, but calmly.
