Flying with her normal wings was too slow and too tiring. Zalika changed into a falcon in midair. She looked just like an ordinary falcon. Her ruby-red eyes were her only givaway.

"Of course." Kuillia grabbed Vili with his talons and swept back up into the air again. He enjoyed the feel of the air against his tensed muscles, even as short as the journey would be. "You aren't too uncomfortable, are you?"

Vili looked down at the ground in terror, then up to the massive bird that he was now at the mercy of. "I have heard men from the eastern cities speaking of making themselves "high", but this by far defeats smoking any form of leaf, that is for sure!" he shouted up over the wind and the wingbeats of the roc. ((was that funny enough for ya? Or was it not funny at all?))

sounds good- ellesar, i'm assuming that all those who don't fly are riding the roc and that all of you are headed for the citadel- make polite conversation while riding and describe the sunrise or something ell

Tenkana looked at the sunrise, calculating his directions. "Which way is Citadel again?" He asked.

"North," she said.

"Okay", He replied and took off to the north, hoping she was right.

Zalika followed, enjoying the exhilerating feeling of flying as she soared.

"Horjna, why is our shift so early? We could still be sleeping if we didn't have to air patrol for the city! I mean who in their right mind would ever-"

"I know I know already Guifinolg! No one in their right mind would ever try to come into the city by air- it's too heavily garded-why would they want to- etcetera it goes on and on. Guifinolg, as captain of this gaur, my wyrm is far larger than yours and I will not hesistate to make it tear your wyrm's throat out if you don't- stop- whining!"

These two Citadel Aerial Gaurdsmen Second Division flew at the head of the group debating with eachother the current and ever-corrupt wages system and labor hours and the list goes on. No one had ever tried to fly to the Citadel in decades, and no one in their right mind would try. They were just squatters, sitting on black wyrms with very large teeth in midair with five others like them decked out in black arm whose helms and backplates swirled up into a point behind them, and whose long heavy lances weighed them down.

They were two miles from the Citadel.

The party had already traveled one mile.

((Perhaps. Anyone want our characters to have an in-flight conversastion? And what about Father Niko? Is he still gonna be in the RPG?))

Tenkana flew on, becoming self-conscious every now and then when he realized that he was leading the group. He eventually grew used to it and proudly lead.

((Anyone else want their character to lead? Say so now. Personally, I think it would be interesting...for me, anyway. But, if anyone else wants to lead (At least until Mathonwy joins the group), say so now.))

Zalika flew on. "Have you ever been to Citadel?" she asked Tenkana.

Tenkana looked back for a second to see who was asking, for he couldn't tell very easily over the wind and beating of wings. "No. I have been through the forest many times on assignments from my tribe, but other than that, Citadel is pretty alien to me."

 

[Lessien]

((Dunno.))

"Ah. I've been there a few times, but not often." How she wished she could just live in the forest! Or maybe Dushana, her mother's native land.

((oh? but is the Citadel hostile??))

Kuillia looked far ahead; in the distance he saw a "welcoming party" - with lances and long-teethed black wyrms. He shouted to the others, "I think things will get turbulent..."

Uh-oh.....Zalika quickly used her magic to change into a tiny sparrow. Ha! Now you can't see me!

((Whoa. What is all this about transformation? I mean, is Zalika a Shape-Shifter? Even if she is, I think a fiery red dragon is a little over the top. We want to make things interesting.))

Tenkana looked ahead at the danger Kuillia had seen. Oh, boy. "Would you happen to know anything about this, Zalika?" He asked.
