i'm not within the Church's target demographic.

The Church's target demographic should be "everybody."

What kind of church have you been going to?

That's evangelical mega-church, isn't it?

I'd suggest trying more of a mainline local parish; somewhere where the membership is in the order of maybe a hundred people or so, and you have a real sense of community.

I find that really weird.

Did they turn you down outright, or did they say, for example, that you need to worship with them for some months before becoming eligible?

Why did 4 turn you down?

i had attended each location at least six months before going to their membership classes.

1. the first location said that i had an outstanding conflict with another church, and therefore i couldn't join.
2. the second location required that i speak in tongues before i could join, but i did not.
3. the third location said that my beliefs were not aligned with the church, and therefore i couldn't join.
4. the fourth location stated that i didn't have an explicit confession of Christ.

Wow.

If it were my church, as long as you were validly baptised, had worshipped with us for...I think it's three months, (I'd have to check), and weren't a member anywhere else, we'd let you join.

I think you're trying the wrong churches.

i found their grace gospel messages to be selective only to certain people and/or selective to only certain sins.

Well, I think most churches have some conditions for membership. Even mine will insist on baptism.

But that's why I'm saying I think the OP needs to find a friendly parish in a big mainline church, which won't have this sort of fringe-element policy.

three of these were mainstream evangelical churches. they had rejected my baptisms.

I honestly didn't know. The only church I attended for any length of time never mentioned it, but maybe I was never considered a member, and they assumed I
would ask. I was baptized there so that could have been the only requirement that I didn't know I was fulfilling at the time.
