You are forgetting that men wrote the Bible not God.Therefore you cannot use the Bible to support your claims.

What do you use to support your claim? God said "come let us reason together" how do you propose to do that w/o God's word that has no other to measure it by? And if God can protect the ark from the hands of the Philistines w/o the aid of human hands then where do you see the impotency to protect His word? The old testament God spoke thru prophets and various means but in the New Testament He speaks thru His Son only. Perhaps your search should contain itself to the NT to find what God has to say there before casting your unbelief onto things of old, that were there for the instruction of us in this age.

Sadly, I agree. I know (intimately) The Father and HE has opened my understanding to scripture. It is an amazing unfolding of the process (of soul) that takes place within by faith. All that has taken place in the Old Testament to Israel (as a son) is our spiritual journey in picture...what happens because of disobedience and following our own mind instead of the Spirit causes calamity and trial to befall us...until we come to the end of 'self' rule and know that HE is God.

What father does not correct their children? God is LOVE...whether we believe it or not.

How can you say that our Loving Heavenly Father curses people.Evil humans sometimes curse but never God.

God or someone has cursed you or put you under the curse of unbelief.
God or someone has cursed many others.
God has pronounced a curse upon mankind, all mankind under sin - death.

Rejecting His Word is to remain under the curse.
Trusting whatever tells men to reject His Word,
is trusting an evil desire/ thought/ way,

and God curses all those who trust mankind,/ flesh/ evil ways/ idols.

God provides a way out of the curse, to as many as love Him, who are call according to His Purpose and who keep His commandments.

All through God's Word is the MESSAGE OF HIS SALVATION
until the last days
when His Judgment is executed without mercy upon sinful mankind
and the devil and all the devil's angels.

All through God's Word this is clearly stated, without spot nor wrinkle,
and the curses/ warnings
are
given MORE TIME / MORE SCRIPTURE/ than the blessings and heaven.

It is very serious - life and death - curse or blessing.

Trusting God no matter what you think He does or doesn't do
is the only way to be set free from
whatever it is , whoever it is ,
that has deceived you.

Why continue thinking the way of mankind/ emotional/ wrong/ in error ???
or the way of demons , if that is the case,
as if God's Ways were unjust or unrighteous ?

Why continue opposing God and HIs Word ? The LIGHT came into the world to set us free -
and free indeed if we believe Him and trust and rely on Him...
but we remain
with the world in darkness who hates the LIGHT
if our deeds remain evil and we refuse to come into the LIGHT ...

The godless maintain that man created God in his own image, through such things as creating scripture.

At least no believer in the Bible is able to do that, for the image of God has already been created for us in Scripture, whether it pleases us or disturbs us.

This is no longer the case for you though. The God you present us is purely a being of your own imagination and your own desires. Your God is no different than you.

it has been proven that man could not write even the first verse of the holy scriptures ( happy hunting ) and yet you somehow have knowledge that the scriptures are a work of men alone ! it is apparent that you are allowing your emotion to cloud your better judgement by seeking only that which appears to substantiate this false perception of yours, which is to say you measure God/Truth so as to box Him into a neat little package your fleshy mind can make sense thereof

In order to truly seek to understand these cohesive collection of books we need to leave our self/ego/pride out of it and humble ourselves as little children

ponder this verse until it becomes more that just words on a page or as something heard with ear, but ponder this truth until you can see it both as a closed door and a door which is open, understanding that when a law is created the opposite to it is also, albeit they be one and the same to our Father Who declared the end from the beginning

The Bible stories have troubled me from childhood but I was not able to understand why if God wrote the Bible why did he write such terrible stories about himself.After a number of years I sorted it out.God didn't write it.Being a God of love I suspect that He will forgive them for describing Him as a warmongering psychopath.

But you didn't 'sort it out' Kenneth, you just ran away from the issue. If you could fix your concern, you'd also be able to answer why a loving God, although omniscient and omnipotent, allows horrific acts or events to happen.
I notice that you came to to your conclusion by yourself. If God truly is who you think he is, why didn't he confirm it to you ? You've made up your own God, formed by what you would want him to be, based on what makes you feel comfortable.
I pray that God reveals to you his true, full self.

God want's us to know him, to seek him, and to understand his will for us in our lives.

Sadly the same as you have and church leaders continue to preach from the existing Bible despite the fact that Christianity in the Western World is dying.I have one more problem to discuss tomorrow and then I will explain what has motivated me to post all of the comments that I have made over the past few days.

If a relationship with God is not attainable, then how is he supposed to love us, or we him ?? (As your reasoning so often states). If God is love, there MUST be relationship.
From that, we learn more about God and understand (some !) of his ways better.
