I may very well be. The world is a fallen place.

To kill little children playing on the beach is a terrible thing. It may even be a necessary thing, but it will never be other than a terrible thing.

To cheer it on, to glory in it, to praise it, is a horror.

We should not be cheering, we should be mourning.

I agree. And I don't see anyone cheering. Or glorying or praising.

Interesting article.

"Thank you Netanyahu and may God give us more [people] like you to destroy Hamas!”

What’s this? The ravings of a fundamentalist Jewish settler in Gush Etzion? Congratulations from a Christian Zionist hunkered down in his bomb shelter somewhere in the Deep South?

Actually, no. It’s a Twitter message sent out by Azza Sami, who writes for the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram. Her sentiments are widely shared in Egypt."

Christian Zionists are the most radical supportes of the Zionist massacre of Palestinian civillians. They get a strange satisfaction from Palestinian blood.

They also ignore the oppression of their Christian brethern. Then again are Arab Christians, real Christians in their eyes..?

Who is this post aimed at? The definition of Christian Zionist hasn't been demonstrated by anyone here.

But there are those here, some of whom amazingly call themselves Catholic, who see the beastly massacre of Palestian children as justifiable...

The Egyptian? How do you know she was talking about the 3 boys?

Did you even read the article?

As an Orthodox Christian, what are your views on the oppression of your Arab Orthodox brothers and sisters at the hands of the Israeli blockade of Gaza..?

I view it as brought on by Hamas.

Funnily enough, most people with eyes and ears know very well the problem does not lie with Israel. You choose the blokade of Gaza; which is unfortunately a necessity to stop arms and rockets being imported to be used against Israel, to try and make out it is Israel oppressing Christians...pretty warped thinking, but not unsurprising as I don't expect to find sweet water flowing from this source.

There are many Catholics and fellow Christians that stand with Israel. Don't let the vocal minority get you down.

I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.’

Lets stand together!

I remember watching an interesting Nightline back in the late 80s in which the host Ted Koppel sat on a short wall built on the set between panels of Israeli and Palestinian spokespersons. This was during the first Palestinian Intifada. Both sides were individuals who were official spokespersons for their respective sides, not just intellectuals or pundit mouthpieces.

The intention was to let both sides fully air their grievances against the other so that the American audience could understand the background.

What amazed me was that within fifteen minutes they were actually arguing over whether God's promise of the land was given to Isaac or to Ishmael.

That's a division even deeper than the Sunni/Shia dispute.

"Palestinians"/Muslims - Quran Says Israel will Always Belong to the Jews! - YouTube

Even Moslem scholars acknowledge Israel belongs to the Jews quoting from their Qur'an...so they can't have it both ways....and of course the Bible makes it absolutely clear that G-ds promise of the land to Abraham and his physical descendants is reiterated and confirmed through both Isaac and Jacob, a promise incidentally that is a one sided covenant based solely on faithfulness of G-d as His Presence alone walked between the cleft carcasses.

Gen 15:17 It came about when the sun had set, that it was very dark, and behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a flaming torch which passed between these pieces.
18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying,
“To your descendants I have given this land,
From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates:
...

From the river to the Sea, Israelis have democracy.

I, and every Christian I know in real life, most certainly do not stand with Israel in their oppression of our Christian brethern in Palestine and this current slaughter of women and children in Gaza is disgusting.

To hear the Nethanyahu's drones coming out and say Israel mourns every single civillian death only serves to turn our stomachs even more...
