We have been talking about how wonderful and innocent Hamas is--that it would NEVER want the destruction of Israel and only wants peace. In this CNN interview, the son of one of the founders of Hamas tells the truth about Hamas. He indicates that Hamas aims to use civilians in its goal to destroy Israel (and then other civilized nations).

What does this have to do with the genocide of the Palestine people?

For a start the emotive accusation that Israel is perpetuating some sort of mass genocide is at best incorrect and at worst abhorrant especially in light of the 20th century history of the Jewish people...it also helps promote the Islamic agenda by demonizing Israel and using the sort of language that her enemies are very adept at formulating because they know they have the attention of a gullible world that is blinkered to Islamic objectives.

I just don't get the support for a secular government that is killing innocent women and children under the guise that this land was promised to them. The truth is, by the posts on here, it is evident that some of you are falling into that trap.

These "secular politicians" don't have God in mind when they are doing the killing. This has nothing to do with being anti-semitic. I'm really tired of hearing Christians lash out against other Christians in this way, just because they don't support this evil. This term self-hating jews for Jews who don't support what their politicians are doing is just another way to manipulate people and bash them because they don't buy into the agenda. Just because you are a Jew doesn't mean you are entitled. Just because you profess to be a Christian doesn't mean you are saved.

Do you think Jesus would condone this killing of Palestinians? He brought us a new way. All you have to do is read the words of Jesus in the Gospel.

If you are Catholics and Orthodox who buy into the millennialism, then you need to research what our churches teach-Our churches tell us to read the old testament through the eyes of the new. When Jesus came, he invited us all to the table. Jews, Gentiles, Palestinians, you name it ...everyone. Lest anyone think I am
talking about replacement theology, I am not. Do your own research.

"There's no school tomorrow in Gaza, there are no children left" Nice.

The term self-hating Jew is not applied to Jewish people who criticize their government, it is used to indicate those Jews that go beyond that and by their words and actions actually side with the enemies of Israel...some might also use the name kapo.

To say that the Israeli politicians don't have G-d in mind in the decisions they make shows that you are unaware of what goes on in the Knesset, the prayers and the Bible studies...they have had to make hard choices, especially sending in the ground troops knowing their young men will have casualties, and firing on densely populated areas where Arab civilians are clustered around Hamas arms caches or missile launching sites.

Jesus was a Jew, and yes He taught us to love our enemy, but in Jewish understanding you are obligated to protect the lives of your family and your citizens, not roll over and let them sling rockets at you whenever they feel like it...no nation would tolerate it...even so called Christian nations.

Honestly, I really think the youtube in post #186 by Bill Whittle, "The Case for Israel" does a pretty good job in explaining the Gaza issue--even going so far as to note that if one is in favor of equal rights for women; equal protection for homosexuals (instead of hanging them in the town square); advances in sciences, arts, medicine, farming, and land management (so that it can support an increased population; and guaranteed political access and rights for both Jew and Arab alike, one will be pro-Israel.

The youtube also notes--
"on October 8, 1987 the U.S. State department declared Hamas to be a terrorist organization. Currently the Gaza strip is administered by a Unity Government consisting of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority. Despite the protests of the Israeli government, the Grave Concern of 88 out of 100 U.S. Senators, and in violation of U.S. law prohibiting aid to terrorist organizations, Obama has allocated $400,000,000 to Hamas through the "Unity Government".

$400,000,000. Looks like the people have not seen "one thin dime". Hamas has used it to buy rockets from Iran and help from North Korea and used the steel and concrete to build the "terror tunnels" instead. When Israel gave the Gaza strip to the people, it was supposed to be demilitarized. Don't think it was.

Hamas is the aggressor. When the Jews accepted humanitarian cease fires, Hamas broke them (even the one it asked for). Now Hamas is saying that there will be NO humanitarian cease fires. It is using women and children as human shields, and just recently blamed Israel when one of Hamas' own rockets fell short and landed on a hospital, killing nine children.

So Hamas wants peace. Right.

"Hamas executions against its own people is back in the news.

Hamas has allegedly executed 20 Palestinians who participated in an anti-war protest in the Gaza Strip, according to Channel 10. The Palestinians allegedly were rounded up by Hamas and summarily executed as alleged Israeli collaborators.

There were also reports on July 28 that Hamas has allegedly executed 30 suspected collaborators so far, but it is not clear whether that number includes the 20 anti-war protestors."

So blaming it all on Hamas cleanses us of the guilt of the innocent blood that has been shed. Hamas are not the only ones at fault. Israel is at fault. We are all at fault.

But Hamas is certainly mostly at fault.

I don't know what prayers go on in the Kinesset, but there are also prayers that go on in Congress. What does that mean to me. Absolutely nothing.

I disagree with your assessment of the term self-hating Jews and how it is used. Tell that to the Jews have been ostracized for standing up to their government.

I am a woman. I don't know how I would react if someone came against my family. I hope I would be able to defend them. But how far would I go?
Personally, we will be called to account for our actions, whether we believe they are just or not. Jesus teachings are hard, but it is also true that we live in an imperfect and unjust world.

As Christians, the land we occupy is a spiritual one and it now includes all peoples.

If you cannot discuss things in good faith then please refrain from future postings. Lies as quoted above have no place on a Catholic forum.

It is being reported also and I never report posts. Well hardly ever...

Mass genocide is a very good description of what the IDF is donig in Gaza. What else could it be called given the hundreds of children and their parents who have been killed already and the multiple of this number who are maimed for life, losing limbs, sight and whole souled innocence that every child is entitled to have...
