That's true. Sometimes when you're not categorizing God as a vengeful Judge you're doing other things, like eating babies.

On a serious note, I would not consider Catholicism 'western' in the sense that it contains only half of the Truth, and I'm sure you would not consider Orthodoxy 'eastern' in the sense that it only contains half of the Truth.

We are dropping the "western" from this discussion... for that reason, even if one was to believe that it were so. Were just going to say that the east views God differently.

Let the Eastern Theology stand on it's own merits.

The very point of having this discussion is the introduction of Eastern Christian Theology... I hope the differences will be readily apparent without having to be blunt about it.

A small favor here? How about rather than saying "the Eastern God is like this" or "the Western God is like that," changing the terminology to "the Eastern conception of God is like this" or "the Western conception of God is like that"

God is One. He is neither Eastern nor Western.

PS: I'm not offended, but I was an English major in college. I'm one of those people to whom words matter.

We might say that the aforementioned religions contain seeds of truth, and so in a way share certain aspects with Orthodoxy, but they in themselves don't constitute the fullness of the Truth.
