Based on over seven and a half years here, I'm now condensing my apologetics down into two simple rules of thumb:
Rule One: Under no circumstances whatsoever is the literal translation of the King James Bible to be contradicted.
If necessary, use even the punctuation therein to defend your point; but never let a point contradict the Bible -- ever.
Rule Two: Seek a logical explanation first; and if that doesn't work, then go with a theological explanation.
Scripture first, followed by basic doctrine, followed by suppositions; but don't let the logical trump the theological.
I didn't post it to discuss it.You do realize that presupposing answers without evidence isn't an algorithm. At least, not one which works to your advantage.
I didn't post it to discuss it.
I can think straight, and I believe in God and therefore YOU are wrong.
I also believe God (heck, the demons believe in God).
Well, I guess if you don't mind holding to an unscriptural understanding of the Bible, then I guess not. Of course, if you're going to disregard what the Bible actually says, why hold to something so completely ridiculous as the GAP theory? Why not simply accept that the Flood was not worldwide and the language that describes it as such is simply poetic language?
No reason demons should exist, what omnipotent god makes mistakes?
Follow me on this.
Science says that life is natural, no need for God.
Science is very smart.
Therefore science should be able to create life.
God doesn't make mistakes, he reacts to mistakes.
All things exist according to you thanks to god. That these things aren't all perfect in every way must either be intentional or a mistake made by god. So which is it, is evil intentional or a mistake?
I guess you have never been given the talk about the birds and the bees?
Where do you think babies come from?
So to you, evil doesn't exist then?
Man and demons practice evil, not God.
Then what created evil then?
"It's not Hanes 'til I say it's Hanes", (Hanes being a metaphor for sin, I being God). This is how God 'creates' sin/evil.
No justification whatsoever for this rule so fail.QV please:
Rule One: Under no circumstances whatsoever is the literal translation of the King James Bible to be contradicted.
You violate this rule constantly. Even your description of the rule is at odds with the rule itself.Rule Two: Seek a logical explanation first; and if that doesn't work, then go with a theological explanation.
Scripture first, followed by basic doctrine, followed by suppositions; but don't let the logical trump the theological.
I ALSO believe God. God left His direct fingerprints in the world around us. Men wrote, and translated and re-translated, and picked and chose which books are in the Bible. Inspired men, but fallible men just the same shown by the fact that there are so many different versions and translations of the Bible.I also believe God (heck, the demons believe in God).
