My apologies, I was mistaken. It's not in the Bible, it was in a series of books I read long ago called The Bible Story where I read that (which is based on the Holy Scriptures, but is not actually the Scriptures).

This is why I think it's important to keep a list of suspected fruits and maintain distance if you can. I don't think smell genuinely counts, despite a contrarian in this thread previously suggesting the smell/odour of apple pie particles counting as consumption, I disagree. Sometimes we smell all sorts of things one wouldn't want to smell let alone eat. Or perhaps accidentally listening to music that doesn't suit one's musical taste. Just because we heard say... Elvis on the radio, doesn't mean one is a fan.

Dude, just enjoy a piece of pie - apple, cherry, peach, key lime, pecan, pumpkin, etc. Its just a piece of pie. Get over yourself and your "I'm so much more holy that the rest of you because I abstain from tasty foods" and just tap your foot to a good song now and then. Live in the world that we know actually exists and enjoy the fruits of its trees. Some make excellent pies.

I have a personal relationship with the creator of the universe so I asked the question. I got a reply: "Apple pie is awesome. Why do you think I made cinnamon, and nutmeg, and ice cream, and stuff? Without knowledge of Eden, I choose to believe there's more weight towards the forbidden fruit being an apple rather than any other fruit. It's too much oft repeated to be a coincidence, even Newton complained of a falling of an apple when he discovered 'gravity'.
Even some of the seven (or more) sins have apple related proverbs.

I don't think those figures of speech mean what you think they mean.

A bad apple is someone who is not good, that is, someone who is bad, such a corrupt politician.

And "apple of my eye" doesn't necessarily mean lust. I would say that my daughter is the apple of my eye in that I have affection for her. I certainly don't have lustful feelings towards her!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away is speaking of the benefits of a healthy diet. It's not telling you to stuff your face with apples.

Plants and fruit starts a healing process in the body. Meat is the only food that affects the body negatively leading to illness and death.
People die now because of the sin nature. The deed is done now. The process of physical death has been passed down now from Adam & Eve.


And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.”

He created mankind to eat plants and fruit only.

You should watch The Game Changers on Netflix it explains a lot. Especially the part about how meat affects men. Before you’re ready to be intimate with your wife you might want to eat a salad instead of a hamburger. You can see the scientific test right there in the movie. It shows what meat does to the body. Even the WHO classifies meat as carcinogenic.
