The Moral Argument

Sometimes God permits evil and bad things to happen to us.

In other words, all bad things happen because God allows them to happen.

Tell me, the reason God allows 9 million children to die each year before the age of five.

That answer can only be given to those who are willing. It can only be given by God for He alone searches and tries the hearts of men.

In order for a man to seek after God, God must have first sought the man.

I am persuaded that no apologetic methodology can do what only the Holy Spirit can do.

I am now persuaded of this fundamental teaching of scripture, that it is true. I thank God for showing me this through Davian, Archaeopteryx, quatona, and others.

And I was, up until now. For up until now I was ministering in unbelief, attempting to do a work that God has said I cannot do unless I abide in Him. Apart from Him, I can do nothing.

I take it this means you concede the points you ignored.
Because, well, up to this point you pretended you were trying to defend the moral argument (which would be a matter of logic) - not the existence of God (which would be apologetics).

Because, well, up to this point you pretended you were trying to defend the moral argument (which would be a matter of logic) - not the existence of God (which would be apologetics).

Well, it is just that the presentation of arguments don't accomplish much when they do not find their place in the will of God.

In fact, it is not possible for a man to receive faith from a philosophical argument. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, not a syllogism.

Not to those who are not willing to see. I do not know if that is you or not, and even if I did, it is not up to me to reveal God to you. That is something He delights and takes pleasure in doing Himself.

If something is true, it can be demonstrated, irregardless of a person's willingness.

Ah, the "willful ignorance" defense, once you are unable to defend your argument.
Why is this entire routine (posturing as "Christian philosopher" -> attempts at intellectual arguments -> preaching -> "willful ignorance" -> "i appreciate your input because it strengthens my faith" -> "i´m just a fallible human" -> "only God can...") so predictable in conversations with you?
Well, in former discussion you used to have a decent meltdown (with personal insults etc.) at some point in that routine. That at least has changed - I´ll give you that.
