Have you ever had your Sunday ruined because your predecessor in your job screwed something up?

Nope cause I've never worked on a Sunday.

I like to send AND receive flowers, but I usually buy them for myself!

I love mixed floral arrangements and cala lillies and pink roses...ok - I like lots of different flowers!

Do you have fresh flowers in your house now?

No, I have them in the garden. Too much pollen in the house exacerbates my asthma.

Do you buy flowers or get them from a garden?

I usually buy them.

What's your favorite flower to grow?

jasmine. Love the smell, especially on a summer night.

I love the scent of jasmine....gardenia is one of my favorite scents.

I usually buy an assorted floral arrangement from one of the grocery stores - I'm not a flower snob so I don't have to buy them from a flower shop - I just like having fresh flowers around...

Do you like red poinsettia's or white ones?

I don't have a preference. When I see them in yards, I like both side by side for the contrast.

Have you ever grown roses?

Yes I have grown them before...

Do you have a lot of rose bushes in your garden?

I have 2 unproductive rose bushes, that I need to figure out how to make productive again. I used to get lots of bloom off them, then nothing the last couple of seasons.

Do you use native vegetation in your garden or do you prefer the more exotic plants?

I have two full size rose bushes, and about 7 or 8 minis roses, a gardenia bush, some hydrangea (that have only bloomed once), some gladiola, some irises, and a couple mini azalea bushes. I guess those are native, not sure!


Have you ever transplanted a rose bush?

I tried, but I failed to keep it going for long.

Have you ever grown magnolias?

I actually have a magnolia tree in my yard, but I didn't plant it - it was already there when I bought the house.
