The dollar sign used to have 2 bars across the S for me, now it only has one, so it looks like this: $. I would show you one with a double bar, but it's no longer an option on my phone.

Well, you used the quote about the Lord setting us free I would suppose from memory. Yet set free is no longer a thing in the bible thanks to the stuff that's happening today and the Daniel 7/Amos 8 thingy.

I recall two, my wife recalls one. And our live in guest remembers two. We are all 60 and 70s years old here. But that's the point, it's open to perception. Also it depends on font style, could well be printed in a different font today. If you look up various fonts you can find double lines or single line on the dollar sign...... Just sayin.

By the way, my wife's Geneva bible has some of the KJV supposed alterations but not others and it predates the KJV... The NKJV obviously post dates the KJV and is unaffected....

I am half your age, and I remember two lines. Then suddenly, without reason, it changed. But here's the thing: I called my mother and asked her to go to my old room (they left everything as it was, ha ha), and check the keyboard on my old desktop. This is a physical key. She came back and said, "One line." What! How can that be?

Then I checked my laptop. It changed, too. I am a writer and editor (I know, hard to tell via my CF posts), and I am a stickler for detail. I promise you my devices and communications had the two-bar dollar sign. It is more than a little trippy. And I don't like it one bit.

Ya my computer keyboard has just one as well. I don't think anything of it. As I said it's font sensitive anyway. I seriously doubt a key got changed on your old computer but your perception of it. If there is something going on ( and there could be), I think it's happening in peoples minds. Makes much more sense than hard objects being altered.

No. Not the point men try to make that is.
Yahweh never endorses, nor justifies, things like what men make up or what men change.
Seeing the changes , when allowed and revealed by Yahweh, is 'normal'(or right and good), even if rare, for His children, and not originated from the flesh, not born of the flesh, and not understood at all by the flesh, the carnal nor the world.

Deception is nothing new. It is engulfing the whole world, all society, almost all people.

Definitely a deception of sorts. We see this, too. The question is why.

Yahweh says in the Apocalypse that the pharmacy deceives the whole world. (paraphrased).
This includes much much much more than you have mentioned. The whole world.
Also, the enemy of Christ, likewise, does not tell the world the truth, see?
Deception is 'normal' everywhere today, for thousands of years.

Calling the change in a key on the keyboard the mandela effect is a misdiagnosis of what is actually a trick of the mind.
Like for instance looking at the word "carnivorous" and for a tiny millisecond your brain thinks that the word is "coronavirus". The two words subconsciously are associative. Then the conscious catches the mistake. But it's too late. For the rest of the day everytime that you see "coronavirus" you immediately think "carnivorous". Then you begin to think that someone has changed the word. So then you have to spend time making the mental correction that "carnivorous" is not "coronavirus" and vice versa.
If you don't pay attention, it's easy for the brain to fool you.

I'm not easily tricked. The dollar sign I grew up with had two lines through the S. Fact.

But I'm tired of arguing the point. Let's just say I forgot it only had one, OK? Everything is good in the world now.

I think that you're problem might be that you didn't consider that both ways could be true. I too have seen on occasion two lines through the S.. but I haven't ever always seen it that way everywhere. The fact that sometimes it's just one, and other times it's two.. and your own preconceived idea that it must always be only one way has caused your brain to think that it's always been two lines.

You specify the way you remember it to be when you were younger. First impressions can be stronger than whatever later observation there may be. Once you see something for the first time you may unconsciously assume that it's the only way it could be. Then after that you assume that it always is.

Test it out.. go to your search engine. Type in "dollar sign". Click "images". You should see both. Some have one line through and others have two lines through.

I do like consistency. For me it would be like suddenly using two lines instead of one across to create a capital A. The change doesn't make sense. It's a recognized symbol.

But you are right. No sense making it a thing. Life goes on.

Yep. It's been a long time since I've looked at a manual typewriter to see if it is one or two lines.

The dollar sign analogy isn't a great example anyway because both symbols exist and always have according to font. But does anyone remember a demonic looking ghostly/mystical sort of figure at any point showing up as an image in the background in the movie The Wizard Of Oz ? People are saying it's there now, never was before. I would have no clue personally because I don't think I ever watched the whole movie .

No can't say that I have but I'm going to check it out when I can find the DVD.

Here's a question for you if the conversations taking this route. Who remembers only one shuttle disaster, and not two? I only recall one. That's a big thingy to overlook. At least it is for me.

Two, the big explosion on takeoff with civilians on board including the school teacher (for who knows what reason). And then the reentry disaster where the thing basically disintegrated in the atmosphere. It's on tape out there someplace, I was at work when they showed it on the news. It wasn't way out in the atmosphere either, on approach I believe. It was a tile problem as I recall.

The enemy , which includes all society, changes things daily to drag as many as possible to destruction.
Words, ideas, products..... all that is 'good' is gradually taken away. The truth is covered up in every field in society (religion, medical, scientific, health, government, sales, business, corporations, farms, farming, etc etc etc)....

Watching the changes over the decades is with grief and sorrow, being sorely vexed just as LOT was in sodom and gomorrah vexed for all the sinfulness / wickednesses practiced daily there.

Who perceives the truth? Whoever the Creator in heaven reveals it to, that's who. (daily)
