CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah. Get there at about 6:00 to eat (they serve us food, but that's not even a reason I go) and then service starts at about 7:00 and goes through...well, whenever the pastor gets done. Tonight, he went until 8:45.

Soldier guy, you know i've been meening to talk to you about something. Just never did. A while back I heard you say "I live in God's world, so I'm happy." You shouldn't be. And also God may have created this world but it is not something you are supposed to be happy living in. Anything "truly" good in this world is only a taste of what is to come. also the Bible says "And do not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." I don't mean to preach, but if you want to be a preacher...

True, very true. However, the Bible also says that God protects us from evil and that we should live every day for God. Now,as far as I know, this means we should live without fear or unnecessary concern. After all, everything is under God's control and (difficult as it may be sometimes), we should live with the joy that comes from knowing he will take care of us...all of us.

Yes but we aren't supposed to live like that. Christians Are not supposed to be all just "God's in contol so whatever happens is because of God and that's it." No way. Jesus tells us to get out there and do something. Mathew 28:18-20 The Great Commission We are to witness to the world. We are to be intolerant (a good book by the way) that is what the Bible says.

Yes, that...happens at ballgames a lot. I mean, if it's not Selgae for one side of the gym, it is for the other. It's pretty funny, actually.

Well that's understandable when you're catering to two sides of the gym (although that could have been avoided altogether if whoever made the signs had given it any thought) but the sign carriers made an all out blunder-twice! Don't think I didn't have fun with that one in my blog.

Yes, well...it was a little worse than the one time the bleacher bums took the signs and ran around the gym. I guess they need to get signed on as full-time bums. Oh wait, I think...they...already are.
