  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Actually, about a month ago, we saw one out back from our house.

BTW, before we continue on this topic, I have a question for you as well: Do you wish for me to get you another CD tonight? The one I have in mind has been rated a 10...both by me and one of my teachers.

Sure, which department is this teacher in?

Anyways, I ask you this question because there's a disease in the deer herd called bluetongue. I know of cases on 2 peoples property. I'll give you the rundown.

The first case is with my neighbors. They have found 9 dead deer on their land. Many of these deer were found in water, a major indicator of the disease bluetongue (because of the accompanying fever). Another deer was sighted that is believed to have had bluetongue. It was soaking wet with ruffled fur and could barely walk. In 2004, at the opening of rifle deer season, the neighbors sighted 18 deer. In 2005, they spotted 2.

The other case is a person who actually pen raises deer. His herd would average between 12-20 deer. He no longer has any deer-they were all wiped out by bluetongue. This includes a prize albino buck.

So anyways, I've been asking aroudn to see how major of an impact this disease has had on the deer herd so far. I've seen sign in our woods, so they can't all be wiped out yet. However, as far as I know, the disease is always fatal. It usually comes about with overpopulation, so this may simply be nature's way of dealing with that issue.

It's our Science teacher. Yes, I know that I was complaining about him a bit, but he does have good taste in music.

Yeah, funny how that works out. Too bad it couldn't hit at the end of the season after a lot of the deer that otherwise would die out would instead be someone's meal.

Please take notice of the amendment on the OP (the note on the bottom of SfC's quote). This isn't by any means an attempt to be rude. It's just that many of the conversations here concern the events of our little town, so to other people they'll make little to no sense. Your cooperation will be appreciated. Thanks!

Probably scene 1. We'll probably also need to get the blastoff recording. If we get the homemade vomit made we could do any scene we like. I'll have to check to see if we have an onion. Oh and I need the English teacher's crayons. How about today we skip all of the Girlie scenes?

We'll have more time to work the kinks out (which we can do during school to keep us sane and entertained), we'll have more daylight hours, we can work on smaller projects between now and then as practice. We can also film the toilet in the woods scene right now before it gets warm.

Wow. This is what happens when I leave for Spring Break: The thread is taken over....without resistance.

Sorry, I haven't been on much compared to usual so I haven't gotten back to the thread.

Hey, filming over the summer...we could call it: "Global Warming in a Desert."

Ah, forget them. Here's another good point-if we get it done soon, we can look forward to finishing it at school which will make the summer go by slower. Speaking of which, I can't believe Spring Break is almost over. There's just one more full weekday until the last weekend.
