Moses wasn't a Jew, neither his wife, neither Aaron and so on. The stranger is directly mentioned in Exodus 20:8-11.The sabbath was from God to the Jews. Gentiles were never involved in it.
But if they are claiming that Christ is the bible (written word) and they are getting all of their ideas of salvation from the laws in the bible and taking chosen verses extremely literally while ignoring any possible deeper meanings, then salvation by works of law would be the same to them as salvation found in Christ. It's pretty convoluted.

Apparently, they're making some distinction between the Mosaic law and the Ten Commandments. What I don't understand
Is where that distinction is made in scripture. The other thing I don't understand is how they can claim the law they do keep affects thier salvation, when it is so clear that salvation is only found it in Christ.
When people spend lots of time providing you with detailed scriptural proof, you accept none of it and then repost this same list of out-of-context scripture references with the same insistence that you are right and they are wrong, but perhaps if you open yourself in prayer to the Holy Spirit and ask him to guide your understanding, you may come to truly understand the free gift of grace that Jesus has given you if only you were willing to accept it.
The reality of Sabbath is Christ, not a particular day of the week. Sabbath was just a shadow.
Colossians 2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Greetings friend. My point is your not understanding that we are under the purpose of the law not the letter of the law.
This is what Paul is addressing in Romans 14. Actually he is addressing the persecution of some who still hold onto the letter of the law and his point is that if someone wants to keep the law that is fine but they shouldn’t condemn others who do feel the need to keep the letter of the law to honor God and to love one another.
Another great example is Colossians 2:6-16. Another question I keep asking is God gave many other commandments that, to my knowledge, SDA do not keep. God commanded that everyone must write a Torah scroll. He also commanded that the Passover sacrifice must be observed forever. These are just a few examples of commandments directly from God not laws written by man and yet they are not kept by SDA. So why not?
No. Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:4-8; James 2:14-26; Romans 11:5-6,22.What you describe is grace through *works* and not grace through *faith*....
You need to add to God's word that which it doesn't say to suit your disobedience to God's clear and explicit commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). You imagined, not exegeted.
Transgression of God's Law (1 John 3:4; Exodus 20:1-17; Romans 7:7) is not 'rest', it is still in your own works, and worse, self-deceived, because you have your own law apart from God's law.I have entered Gods rest.
There is a time which comes when the Holy Ghost is blasphemed and conscience is no longer aroused. It is seared. It is a dead kind of peace.God has blessed me with much needed peace and joy.
So are many in their sins, but it is temporary.I am content and my heart is happy.
I do not know 'your' 'lord'. Neither do I follow that 'voice' of your 'lord'.Praise the Lord.
It sure is. Compare it to 1 Corinthians 8-10. days of eating/not eating. The pharisees constantly argued about which day was better to eat/not eat on.The message in the passage is clear as day to anyone willing to comprehend it.
I agree, but you did. You had to add words which do not exist in the text to suit your disobedience to repent. No need to resort to imaginings.
If you do not repent of this sin (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Exodus 20:8-11), here is the reward of those who taught to transgress God's law in spite of the grace bestowed through Christ Jesus:Nice try.
That's the problem. 'You' are interpreting. Let God interpret:Im using the same scriptures you are, i just interpret them differently.
Where is Paul quoting from in Hebrews 4:4?so i am following the Hebrews 4 exhortation.
Colossians 2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. You made it up, and have not a single verse that says that.
Colossians 2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. That's the problem. 'You' are interpreting. Let God interpret:
Do not interpretations belong to God? - Genesis 40:8
Then there will be no 'private' ('you') interpreting - 2 Peter 1:20
The reality is Christ, right?Where is Paul quoting from in Hebrews 4:4?
Hebrews 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

Zechariah 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
A most solemn judgment.
I dont believe so. I believe that what you call eternal is only the shadow. You are mixing up the Shadow laws of the Mosaic Book of the Covenant with God's ETERNAL law which is forever and give us the KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and are the very standard of the OLD AND NEW COVENANT and the judgment to come.
Col2 is talking about the ceremonial annual Sabbathin ORDINACES from theMOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT that were connected to the Jewish Annual festivals that could fall on ANY DAY OF THE WEEK not the 10 commandments or God's 4th Commandment.

Sad that you would say such things about me. I would never say them about you.Transgression of God's Law (1 John 3:4; Exodus 20:1-17; Romans 7:7) is not 'rest', it is still in your own works, and worse, self-deceived, because you have your own law apart from God's law.

I do not know 'your' 'lord'. Neither do I follow that 'voice' of your 'lord'.
The "LORD" I know, and whose voice I follow, is the Lord of the Sabbath, the seventh day, the Creator and Redeemer who rested the 7th day in both.
I guess not. They don't seem to understand Christ or know the transforming power and joy of the Holy Spirit in their lives. All they seem to know is law and judgment and threats of condemnation. It seems to be a joyless existence full of fear and with no real assurance of salvation. It's not how Christ intends us to live in his kingdom and is not what he taught.
